Plus with the lack of OS overhead you don't miss having extra RAM. The original Pixel only had 4GB and ran fine. Depends on the apps you use but the 3a has the same 6GB and runs pretty smooth and reports on the current beta build say it's even better.

What kind of dream are you having? Any glass will fucking break its just a matter of the angle you drop it at.
And when you wrap an aluminium frame around glass panel, then yeah it wont matter how hard your glass is in fact the harder the glass the more prone it is to shattering, softer glass is ideally what you want but that scratches too easily so pick your poison.

Shoot, I feel like plastic-backed phones have more leeway when it comes to drops. My current and last phone, Asus ZenFone 3 Zoom and LG G4 had plastic backs and non-wrap-around screens and they couldn't be bothered by drops. Hell, they love to bounce. Never once a scratch or crack.

As an added bonus, the plastic is better in a case because its lower weight helps offset the weight of the (probably plastic) case. These reviewers can actually afford to repair or replace their $1500 phones when they drop 2 feet and shatter, unlike most other people.

To be fair, most midrange and flagship phones have no major issues in call quality, the carrier makes a bigger difference there. (Signal quality tends to vary even on the same phone in the same spot, phones' transmission power is so low that transient interference or even literally turning your phone the wrong way makes your reception weaker; it varies too much to be reliably tested in rural areas and urban areas will basically have acceptable signal on all carriers on all mid/upper end devices.) Not about big numbers. It is about the apple logo. It doesn't have apple logo so it isn't that good. Simple logic of most youtubers here. Because they are rich enough to use apple's latest and greatest every year so they obviously have bias. But this much bias as reviewer is just.... 🤦🏻‍♂️
Apple's LCD 4.7 inch display despite having same footprint has 4a is decent but no explicit praise for 4a because that would be like accepting apple got outed this time. How could it happen?
Not to mention 1800 vs 3140 in battery no matter how much optimization apple does with SE battery life of 4a is better hands down. Already know the numbers of SE from numerous videos. And already use a mid range android phone myself having 3000mah battery give more battery life after 1.5 years than SE gives on day 1. 😂 Effective battery has reduced to near 2500mah now. 128 GB at $350 vs $400 for 64GB with SE (450 for 128) difference if $100 which is 30% of the phones doesn't matter? Headphone jack so even if you are switching from ios good for you too otherwise android to ios switch is not 400 it will be 570 including 170 for airpods if you want decent wireless and thank yourself for not getting the inconvenience of lighting to 3.5mm connectors. OLED vs LCD. If you use iMessage obviously go for iPhone else 4a is better at every step. That a13 isn't going to be used to its full potential when you only have 4.7 inch screen any game you want to play that actually utilises the horsepower of a13 isn't playable on 4.7 inch screen conveniently. I would rather play at medium settings on big screen rather than playing highest setting in that lettrbox display. I like small phones but not that small 4.7 is too small.

i am a normal user, using only camera, instagram, whatsapp, twitter, nothing too heavy....and this phone is butter smooth....no lags whatsoever. Only issue is I live in a place where climate is 120 deg...so this phone easily warms up..sometimes heating while using camera too. Everything else is perfect. Cant want more

You guys should take a look at the Fairphone 3, it's basically a less spec'd version of this, with stock android, no bloatware, ethical sourcing, and repairable! It's the phone I've been recommending to everyone that just wants a working phone, which they can still use in 3 years without having to worry about hardware breaking and having to buy a completely new phone.
