Thank you so much for this! my spouse and I had one a couple years ago that stopped working and we got rid of it. a few months ago my in laws got us one and it recently stopped working. we were going to get rid of it till I saw this. followed what you did and turns out we had a clog just like that one. you saved us from throwing away another perfectly good vacuum!

Dirt Devil really went cheap with there new vacuums, dirt devil's old compact that this replaced was an amazing vacuum (dirt devil Dynamite)

Do you know the inside filter along with the foam cover can be washed with water ?
The Bissell Power force compact is a whole lot better that this piece of crap
