You can use some hidden lights with carpets or so to get rid of the torches. With that floor black carpets on top of any block that gives light will look good.
I'm just 6 minutes into the video but came to the comments to say that Ilmango has a video in his channel explaining how to design an amethyst farm with the help of a mod called Geodesy. It is so easy to use and saved me a lot of time designing a small peri for crystals. The video is named: "Design Geode Farms In 15 Minutes With Geodesy". I hope it helps anyone reading this comment.
I'm half frustrated at the youtube algorithm for not sending me this video when I was looking, and half happy that I took the time to figure it out myself...Definitely would have saved a lot of time though haha
Hey there, the algorithm brought me here. First I wanna give you props for designing your own flying machine amethyst farm. I see another comment has already mentioned Geodesy, but the fact that you designed this without using that mod is real impressive. I do wanna wanna give you a word of warning though. If any of the observers pass a location where the amethyst shards can grow, then there's a very small chance that if a shard grows at the wrong time then it can update an observer and break the flying machine. The design Geodesy uses has all of the faces of the observers covered by the slime/honey for this reason. Is it worth redesigning the whole farm for? Probably not. But it might be worth keeping it in mind just in case it ever does happen. Good luck with your world!
I definitely don't have the resolve necessary to remake the farm, but I appreciate the warning. This comment is going to save me so much time wondering what happened when this eventually does happen! Thanks for stopping by!
I love how the amethyst stairwell looks, and that it feeds down into the geode farm. I wonder if mixing the purple into the storage, using other blocks, could look nice! What is supporting the stairs, perhaps chains?
The flying machine could fly through a wall with holes in the same shape. That might help hide it while docked and the return mechanism. Soul sand lanterns might look quite nice in the amethyst particle cloud. Im going to have a look at of there is a smaller return station approach. Usually i have the observers on the flying machine facing up. Then when it gets to the end, the observer slides under an iron trapdoor which is activated by an observer that powers a block with some redstone dust on top. A repeater on top of rhe observer powers the trapdoor.
I'll give the soul lanterns a try and see how they look! I'd considered making a wall for them to fly through but given up when I realized the slime would pull along any concrete blocks I used. Now that you mention it though, obsidian might work perfectly!
Looking good man I wish mojang would make amethyst grow faster since its really a pain to get a lot of them Btw i like the concept of using amethyst to make floating crystals or some sort. But would it be better to change some of the blocks to purple frog light. So the crystal looks emitting light I wanna say adding the red vines on the bottom of the block where you put amethyst so its look like its leaking something but idk

The obvious answer that I completely overlooked...Thank you so much!
Your building is so unique, it makes me wanna build bro

@@PurpleTime39 Exactly that, you did it your way which in my opinion is waaaay much cooler! Good work man.
I've never see flying machine used for an amethyst farm, thats super cool!
i learnt a lot abt redstone that i did not know yet so thank you for that and thats a really good looking world
I'm so glad you learned something from it, I've been learning so much myself lately!
Loving the content, you definitely deserve some more attention from the algorithm! Definitely subscribing, looking forward to future videos :)
I really appreciate the kind words, I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Thank you so much, and think I definitely need to add some throughout the rest of the storage system!
WORTH THE WAIIITTTTT❤❤❤🎉. Just wanna know, have you thought about streaming?
I'm a bit nervous to try, but I am considering it. Glad you enjoyed the video!

@PurpleTime39 obsidian or glazed terracotta or furnaces...lots of options.
Looking good man

I'm hoping I can get around that by keeping the geode loaded a lot, and those are both great ideas! I'll try them out and see how they look!
Where do you get the time and will power to do so much????
Half from love of the game and half from you guys watching. It really means a lot!
i was here at 343 subs before one million. Hi all
Glad to have you here!
Bro plz go work at space force or something 😅🙏 your country needs you.
