Maybe I'm just weird for this, but I wish Renaissance fairs were more focus on accurate representations of past cultures and less focused on cosplaying franchises, I feel like it reduces the experience to just another cosplay convention

I'm not hating on fantasy role play or cosplay or what not those things are great please keep at them. Just as a history nerd it takes away from the experience for me to see elves at a Renaissance Faire.
