The greatest show on earth is one of the songs where you can hear a lot more of Troy. Please listen to it live at Tampere 2015. It's also the song " before" this one lyricaly.
The structure is different, the intro of the album was part of a actual song but then is kind of predictable(just the chorus) and the a king of prog metal ( really unexpected) and then other transition as a end, rare structure for a single
The great video hides how weak this song is. Bad vocal mix, Floor cannot be understood what she is singing in the symphonic pieces, her voice is suppressed far too much. Tuomas is very repetitive with his compositions. It seems to have been put together in what he has been making for years.
It's on purpose, Floor is part of choir,and song is masterpiece,it's not weak,and still we have another11 songs to discovered,for sure more heavy with great vocals
I'm not a native English speaker and I have to read the texts anyway. Not fully understanding the lyrics is normal for me. Floor is one of the ancestors here, one of the spirits. From a storytelling perspective, it makes sense that it's not that loud. Troy is the present and therefore clearly understandable. I don't think the song is a repeat.
The only thing I disagree with here is “the great video” part. It’s really cheap CGI, filled with masonic imagery and more Darwinism shoved down your throat. Rubbish.

I don't think the swarm of ball and the swimmer are real, there should be sharks swimming around the outside chasing the fish. There he will not swam around, at least not voluntarily). When he walks along the "beach" he is actually upside down on the ceiling of a cavern. The water that spills onto the beach is the air on the ceiling of the cavern. I don't think this is really about evolution, but about selection. For example, Darwin's finches from the Galapagos Islands occur. These come from a pair that split into 18 subspecies. Today they look different and eat different foods.

I think it's a Beautiful, powerful song. It's a complex song, in some ways and I'm enjoying it. When it comes to Art..we All have different opinions.
