I think justice was done to the book! Loads of the references were refreshed with current pop culture too. Loved the movie. Half a billion dollars can't be wrong ;)
If you take some requests: Me and my Wife had a squealer about how ALTIA on how it was made I (an engineer) say that it was both props and C.G. my wife insists that it was made strictly by only make-up!
Sherzad Haji which would be valid concern if they had gone for realism. They didn't. It's meant to be a real time VR video game where the players decide their own look. It's an escape the harsh reality of the real world.
Complete shit turd of a movie. With a script about literally INFINITE POSSIBILITIES (IN VR you can break any law of physics, do anything, make anything happen, with any character etc.) you decided to do the most generic bullshit with the most generic bad guy and generic romance story i can think of.
I totally agree with you but it all costs and the production is limitted to the budget stricktly; I mean have you ever heard a production house who has literally burned their graphics cards and set them on fire??!
Mohammed Al-Alaw I’m from a time like Tron, last Star fighter, Jurassic park, where they pushed things behind what hard ware could go, invented new tech, and pushed the boundaries. Literally on the cutting edge! This to me looks no different to GAME CGI cut scenes. In all honesty I got more emotion from the new metro game trailer. If it looks as good as a video game trailer, which is done by tiny teams , you know something is wrong in the industry.

Modern video games cut scenes and characters look much more realistic than this. The uncanny valley is sooooo deep here.

I just don't go to theater. Nothing wrong watch at home. Cameo the movie.

Not impressed, these days cgi should be a lot better and pushing boundaries and stretching hardware to the limits !
