    It’s a beautiful design that should be adopted for a next generation XC90. Not everyone wants to go all electric for various and valid reasons and Volvo will lose many customers if they don’t accommodate those customers.

    I’ll wait for the EX60; maybe they’ll work out all the software issues with the 90 before they start accepting orders for the 60. I have a 2-year old XC60 so hopefully the EX60 will be available by the time my car’s 4 year warranty expires.

    I drive a Volvo and love it, but any other big companies would get absolutely crucified if their flagship model was delayed for 18 months and stuff like freakin CarPlay wasn't even ready on launch. I find this absolutely unacceptable and people responsible for the development of this car should get fired immediately. Most of the features you mentioned are not even new! Other companies and even older volvo models have most of them

    That manual sunshade is ridiculous. Why didn't they put in an electrically retractable shade for the pano roof?! Smells of bureaucratic cost cutting... and for a car that's 30% more than the XC90?? Volvo needs to avoid going cheap with materials and features for their EVs vs their ICE cars.

    • @volvo_kristian

      Yeah. Surprised myself over that. Well the price is very different from market to marker. It's cheaper here in Norway vs the XC90, but that's because of our tax system that benefits electric cars

    I ordered my EX90 the moment it was released. I waited untill last month when i recieved a letter from Volvo that a lot of functions will not work for the foreseeable time. That’s when I cancelled. Now i get invitations and goodies from Volvo (last few months) but the first 1,5 year there was complete radiosilence. I order a car for 118625€ and for the first 1,5 year did not hear anything. It was, so to say, not particularly a premium experience ordering such a expensive car. Shouldn't they first finish EX30 software? The car itself is AMAZING.. the software is not safe. Put the lever in Reverse and it drives forward because the driver released the brakes half a second too early. Volvo MUST add an optional driver instrument panel from EX90 or Zeekr X1. IT IS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE without speedometer! The days of Ford model T has long gone!

      I bought this car for the 3.8 seconds to 100 kph. Volvo could have had the best EV on the market if they did not insist on the strange interior design. Simply put: Drive shifter that always work; normal turn signal; Driver's instrument panel. That's all I ask. .. and 2 centimeters in roof height!

    It's a story of letting the product onto the market too soon. The current XC90 is nearly 10 years old and still holding its own (debate over the 4 cyl is ongoing) design wise. They could have waited instead of rushing it to market. Love our XC40 Recharge, and looking forward to the EX90 in the future. In the US, with the pricing of the EX90 this model goes up against the Rivian R1S. And any of the trims priced above USD $80k do not qualify for tax credit. This model only will appeal to hard core Volvo customers, who have to be turned off by this Tesla-like tactic of delivering a car missing key features.

      I'm not so familiar with the R1S.. Are that also a 7 seater? Maybe Volvo does some good campaigns to make it more competitive if the Rivian are it's main competitor over there. Hi Kristian, I’m in the market for an EV SUV, not for lease but a personal buy. So I’m careful regarding these large expenses. Although I drive an X5 at the moment and certainly do consider Volvo and several other brands. The weak point of Volvo’s for me are the lack of effficiency and bringing cars to the market too early like for instance the EX30. BMW’s neue klasse will be entering the market at the moment the XC 90 is finally hitting the market, also Audi and Porsche are bringing models with 800V infrastructure for the same price. The difference being the 7 seats in the Volvo, but I only need 4 or 5. I love Volvo interiors and colour options. And Volvo has a strong fan base here in the Netherlands. But I will stay away from the EX90 for the first 2 years and see how the market develops. In my opinion they are too late to the party

    • @volvo_kristian
      @volvo_kristian  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yeah see your point there. Especially regarding the 800V debate. I was concerned even when Volvo released this. Not sure if you know this, but the EX90 will get the same 800V system as the Zeekr 001 got in China. Estimate or rumors that it will come during 2026. Give or take. However. Not everyone cares about this. If Volvo have managed to make these slightly efficient and also deliver a decent charging curve than this could definitely be a winner. Regardless 400V architecture.
