Me too! I used wax crayons and painted with black poster paint over them, I think I got the idea from a kids magazine but it's been ages ago so I may not remember correctly :)

Yeah but to be fair the dollar General is Just Generally a dollar, its still in a normal price range. The Dollar Tree is the Store where everything is justa dollar.
I did a single version of that crystal kit in pink. The crystals that grew on the actual rock was garbage, but I scraped all the excess crystals into a glass bottle, and it ended up looking like quartz dust or something. Made for a cute potion looking bottle.
I bought a couple stuff from Mercari a little while ago. One was a SPECIAL EDITION Draco Malfoy Funko Pop and the other were DRACO STICKERS~!!! I didn't even realize that the sellers had accepted my offers, but I am really happy with my items. It really was super easy and simple.
We definitely buy from the dollar store. We do not buy meats or things, unless they are nuggies, but snacks yes! Especially chips, jerky, drinks, etc. Oh, and some decoration items! I find all sorts of nifty baubles and trinkets.
The “dollar” section of Target had a set of various colors of modeling clay that actually came in resealable bags. My sister looked at me like I was nuts, because I was praising Target for putting clay in resealable bags, but I was thinking of how many times you’ve gotten clay that wasn’t in resealable packaging.
I almost bought some sketchy cheese from my dollar store. Proudly on the side of the package it said "New recipe! Cheese now melts" I decided against trying it out 😂

Oh! This made me remember Crayola had color change markers back in the 90s. They were one color and then if you drew over them with a "white" one, it changed the color. I totally forgot they even existed until I saw the whole white color change marker in the kit.

That Dollarama sounds more like a Dollar General, than a Dollar Tree. I don't know how prevalent they are across the country (I'm in Vermont, in the US). Everything is just a dollar at a Dollar Tree. Dollar General has things that cost more than a dollar, yet things are much cheaper there than, say, Walmart. Sometimes. And yes I eat the food from both places.
Dollarama is all over Canada. Prices range from under a $1 to $4 but you've probably noticed the price difference in items from watching this channel. There are some Dollar Trees the price is $1.25 on everything. Very few people say Dollarama MOST call them The Dollar Store cuz it's basically that but Canadian style. 😜
I buy some stuff the dollar store...they have great snacks to throw in the air fryer. Also pan spray, spices, candy, canned goods and giant hot pockets!

I was really worried when I opened it because all the sets I'd had before had a horrible little metal scraper tool that was all against me as a left handed person. But the kit he got me had the dowels in and I found to my surprise with a tool I can actually use I love love scraper art

Yes ...occasionally dollar tree gets some pretty premium organic foods probably from businesses that go under and I keep an eye out for those...otherwise I don't trust food from the dollar store.
I get most of my craft supplies from Dollarama. It's fantastic! Especially if you want to have craft things on hand for kids! :) I also make my own scratch sheets...then you're GUARANTEED to get rainbow!
