曲中輕雲縹渺，音清湍湍清流，哀怨悱惻裊繞，悽美斷腸悲痛。 騅不逝兮，可奈何，虞兮虞兮，佘若何！
Li Yu李煜(937-978 South Tang emperor，poet.After his country was destroyed, he was taken to the north.under house arrest.This poem was written and sung in this time.Finally, he was poisoned)

So, I asked a tourist couple who I bumped into in Rajasthan, India (I'm indian) because they were processional musicians... I asked them where the bassline originated from. If it was a western concept or not.
Cuz in Indian music for centuries there isn't a bassline.
Only since about 2 decades did composers like A. R. Rahman start fusing Indian sound with western music in our Bollywood Movie soundtracks (movies: Roja, Bombay, directed by Mr. Mani Ratnam) to begin the trend of the awesome bassline in our music now.
I am fascinated to hear the bassline already in this Chinese music, which means that it isn't a western influence.
I see this beautiful musician play it on the top strings with her left hand like in the background (timeline 1:15 onward), and it sounds Devine.
I am interested to learn more.

Very good. Koto player is very nice playing. Additionally Ragas mixing in tune. Too much hearing is will good. Per example. raag Abohi it's swar is (C minor scale) cdeflatfac. Both ascending and descending.
