Hey I recognize the driver, he helped out on some of the Rosemead routes a few years ago before the renewed contract along with a cart rollout. Great video
Awesome job man! Love the stuff they have over there! So it looks like they finally made the q 32 gallon huh. Nice to see them putting a Rapid Rail over there. Hoping more people film out there!
This was filmed when they were first getting situated- they were extremely understaffed so they sent extra guys in trucks to try and pull it together, but glad you enjoyed the video!
Awesome video! That's cool you got to see one of our oldest side loaders down in Santa Ana when Republic began there, the driver certainly ran it very well. I hear they needed a lot of help in Santa Ana at first but I was still surprised to see a thumbnail of 2691 in Santa Ana pop up in my subscriptions feed lol.
They did- the driver doing greenwaste was flown over from Seattle to help out while they found drivers. Haha yea my jaw dropped when I spotted it and saw how it was being operated but unfortunately I found him on his last few streets. Thanks for the comment, knew you'd like this one!
Wow, didn't know they had to pull drivers from out of state to help. I'm sure with most, if not all, the ZRs they ordered being in already that it's highly unlikely now to find a Rapid Rail in Santa Ana. Glad I caught one while I did, although I found your typical Republic blue CNG, you got one of the older light blue LNGs haha.
@@GarbageTruckVideography yeah I was pretty surprised when he told me he came from Washington, they hosted him and a few other buddies at an intercontinental and paid for all hotel airfare and transportation. One could still go out there as a spare or help truck every so often, but it’s 99% ZR

Too bad the 30 gallon recycling bin is missing a wheel

Lid flipping rapid rail
I miss 2691 as a regular truck
