I'm a single, divorced mother. I also provide a lot of childcare for other people's kids. I didn't truly start commit to being a Christian until 6 years ago. I am 39 now, So, I had lived much of my life, in many ways being lost. I struggle with many aspects of life in aspects of being a single woman, mother and childcare provider. It's so amazing to me to join Athhey Creek here for services, all the way from Michigan, and have the content of the teaching hit so close to home. And, to know they extend themselves in so many ways to help through fellowship to exactly what I'm going through during this season of my life. Such a blessing to connect with people like these. Also, wonderful they offer this to men through things like Iron Works💗🙏🏻
Great time in the word on Wednesday night! Side note: I am a counselor…I pray for opportunity, everyday, to point clients to Jesus. It is unfortunate that SOME counselors may lead clients astray, but many of us do not. God has called us all to share the gospel and point people to Jesus, including counselors.
Can anyone give me any input on the following? So I’m going to enter a three day water fast to prepare myself for prayer on the third day (Sunday) . Please do not judge me as I know I can pray seriously for many other things, but I am battling so much with vaping that it drove me to tears a few times and it’s going to ruin my life. Now my question is: if I’m struggling so endlessly hard with vaping, is fasting only food good enough for that time until I set the day out on Sunday for prayer? To me it’s so conflicting because I’m vaping while fasting to pray to stop vaping 🙈 I quit smoking and then I quit iqos but then I picked up vaping and it’s worse than the other two put together. I’ve been changing so much , but the thing that is literally going to destroy my lungs and general health is holding on to me. Please excuse my lack of self control, I’m trying, but some things are really hard and I know that this addiction can only be healed by God because I feel completely defeated by this.
I’m praying for you and wonder if you’ve asked for prayer from Athey? If you go to their website you can ask for prayer. There is great power in having others pray for you. Blessings.
Unclean spirits are generally the engine driving addiction. Fasting and praying is a powerful practice indeed! If you don't feel freed from it, then seek a deliverance minister to help rid you from those pests. Good luck, and may the Lord and holy Spirit guide you😁
Hi Pastor Brett, we are the bride of Christ I thought Israel was can you explain that. Cuz I just read Israel is the wife of God. We are engrafted in. So is it both?
Thank you Pastor Brett Dose not Wisdom call out? Dose not Understanding raise Her voice? Who is this women? Proverbs 8:1-36 The voice crying in the wilderness Isa 40: 6-8 Who is this voice? In Jesus Name, To the Glory of God Amen.
We aren't highly favored.. some are favored, only a few highly favored, but most are not favored because of the lack of faith.. we are loved but we dont deserve it.. isnt mary the only one who is called highly favored, in the scriptures? Many are called, FEW are chosen...
MANY REASONS YOU SHOULD NOT PRAY TO MARY 1. THERE IS ONLY ONE MEDIATOR 1 Timothy 2:5 says, There is one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity-the man Christ Jesus. This confirms we don’t need a “go-between.” We don’t need a middle-man (or woman) beyond Christ. When Jesus died, shed His blood, and was raised from the dead the need to have someone (e.g. high priest) represent us was ripped away just like the curtain that tore from top to bottom. 2. GOD ALONE SHOULD BE WORSHIPPED Luke 4:8 says, Jesus replied, “The Scriptures say, ‘You must worship the Lord your God and serve only him.’” Praying to Mary and/or any living or deceased saints is an act of worship…which is reserved for God alone. When Jesus modeled prayer (Matthew 6:7-13) He began with, “Our Father in Heaven.” No where in Scripture is it suggested that we pray to Mary or any other deceased saints. 3. MARY WORSHIPPED JESUS AS GOD In Acts 1 the disciples and about 120 believers were in an upper room waiting for the promise of the Holy Spirit (at Jesus’ command). Guess who was present with them? Mary. What was she doing? Praying. Acts 1:14 says, They all met together and were constantly united in prayer, along with Mary the mother of Jesus, several other women, and the brothers of Jesus. It’s important to note that the apostles weren’t praying to Mary as a go between. She was joined with them in prayer…to GOD. 4. MARY WAS A SINNER IN NEED OF A SAVIOR According to Psalm 51:5 we are all born as sinners in need of a Savior, Mary included. Mary was highly favored, not sinless. There is not one scripture to support that Mary was without sin. JESUS is the only one who never sinned (2 Corinthians 5:21, Hebrews 4:15, 1 Peter 2:22) which explains why Mary had to be impregnated by the Holy Spirit. 5.MARY SAID “Whatsoever he (Jesus)saith unto you, do it.” (John 2:5 ) Jesus said to pray to the father. “And in that day (after the resurrection) ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you. Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.... At that day ye shall ask in my name: and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you: For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God”. (John 16:23-24, 26-27) Extras The Bible is about JESUS, after all Jesus is the Living Word (John 1:14). The Old Testament points to JESUS. The New Testament is about Jesus. The authors of the four Gospels saw JESUS as the central figure and only mention Mary in reference to JESUS. The word “Jesus” is mentioned 1,478 times in the New Testament. The word “Mary” is only mentioned 55 times and some of those are in reference to Mary Magdalene. Also, Jesus is referenced in 26 of 27 New Testament books. Mary can’t hear you. Only God can hear all of our prayers as He is the only one omniscient, omnipotent, and omnipresent. Mary was not even recognized in Scripture as a leader in the early Church. Peter is the one who stood up, addressed the crowd, and preached in Acts 1, not Mary. JESUS is the only Way, Truth, and Life. No one can come to the Father, except through JESUS. The TRUE second commandment: Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me. Mary is not the wife of the Holy Spirit. She was the wife of Joseph. The Holy Spirit is God and He isn’t married!
Somehow these verses mean that the two continue to remain distinct personages, yet in your example you think the identical word means something completely different. Why? How do you determine which definition which use? "Therefore shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh." Gen 2:24 "And [Jesus] answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that He which made them at the beginning made them male and female, And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?" Matt 19:4-5

Ever since my wife and left Oregon, it's been very hard finding a solid bible teaching church. We loved Athey Creek and the ministries from there.

Hi Pastor Brett, we are the bride of Christ I thought Israel was can you explain that. Cuz I just read Israel is the wife of God. We are engrafted in. So is it both?
Both are right. Israel is the wife of God and the Church is the bride of Christ.
The bride is different from the wife. The bride is the entire body of believers. All saved believers are the Bride of Christ.
Thank you Pastor Brett

Better find a pastor who is telling you about the supernatural changes in your bible...
Pastor Brett, you know why they all got 12 homers? Because God had ran out of Marges, Lisa's and Barts.
Concern not they who need not be concerned

(John 2:5 ) Jesus said to pray to the father. “And in that day (after the resurrection) ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.

Nicene creed is not in the Bible.
Is the Nicene creed the authority?
Why do you follow this tradition?
