I just revived my playlist from like 10 years ago and get all these recommendations of 8 - 14 year old tracks. 2006 - 2011 seems like the peak era for all this minimal/progressive/tech house stuff. Cheers.
The base kick is somewhere between thunder and concrete being poured into the biggest drum you ever wanted. It kicks with the crack of whip forged in the underworld.
I had to hunt round a bit, but Kiefer Sutherland’s voice is pretty distinct. The monologue is from the movie _Dark City_ , which is one of those above-the-norm SF movies that likely you’ve never seen, or even heard of. Worth a watch.
Good find. I've heard of Dark City and have a copy, just never got around to watching it. It's a strange feeling watching a movie for the first time and knowing some tiny part of it already due to hearing it sampled into music. Happened to me with Pulp Fiction, among others.
Great track ! Getting to see through the hands of u Sir how cool progressive house can really be! Sucess for the future G-Pal, lots of parties and good sets !
Could be considered, but this is actually more on the techno side. Proper tech house is usually not so dark have more percussive elements (jay tripwire, gideon jackson, terry francis).
Not Tech House (at least in today's standards)..but this track did come out in 2001 so honestly it could have been categorized in that early 'tech house' back then, or actually earlier than 2001. More progressive house back then. But not today. More minimal techno sound today
Tune
Missing those times when is progressive house tunes produced like this , pure undeground quality by miles better than todays crap .

@@CalvinL.Stevens Share the list :)!
generalities are not good friend, but this track is indeed fire
@@CalvinL.Stevens 2006 is the exact year when classic progressive was already dead. 2005 still had some decent releases.
Excellent Track ...

does anyone remember a title of the track which has a speech from 12 monkeys on the main break: this is a place for crazy people, im not crazy :)
I think you mean 12 monkeys and that movie was sampled A LOT. You would have to be more specific.
@@FreshLyte tnx for correction, still hope someone could provide some title. If im not mistaken vinyl cover was blue and red something hehe :)
@@fudathe i wish i could help more, i swear i know the release your talking about.

This is House/Prog house. It's really not a techy sounding track at all to me. www.discogs.com/release/11415-El-Greco-Dark-City
