"Hornby" TT 120 class C 14 mainline test.

  • The last time this loco ran it was on a free wheeling Tri-ang TT chassis being pushed by a motorised coach.
    Now, since I have been fitting smaller wheels to the Hornby A1 chassis, and, a slightly smaller motor from Richard Bayliss I have been able to fit a motorised chassis into the loco.
    The chassis did need a lot of cutting down to fit the body, and, removal of the front section where the leading driving wheels used to be including the pickup plate. This cutting did get to within a 1mm or 2 to the cog wheels but I managed it.
    It could do with some weight adding and one day hopefully I may be able to screw the body to the chassis which is very difficult with these bodies.

      @anthknill thanks. I am taking some locos, possibly this one, and Peachy said to run probably on the Sunday afternoon when it is a little quieter but will see how it goes.
