Hi Gretchen, I'm new to your channel. Great video. If I ever consider moving to Raleigh, you'll be one I contact. I must say, I love that colorful top you're wearing. I've been living in Charlotte for the past 38 yrs. though I'm actually Eastern North Carolina born and raised. I agree with everything you said in the video. Quality of life issues are so different between the two cities. Charlotte does not have the park-like beauty of Raleigh. Charlotte has a higher crime rate across the board. Charlotte schools are mediocre compared to Raleigh schools. Charlotte's traffic SUCKS! Try driving from Rock Hill, S.C. north on I-77, you have 8 lanes of interstate highway to the state line. When you cross into North Carolina (Mecklenburg county as well), instead of the traffic lanes expanding from 8 to 10 or 12 lanes (as it would going into Atlanta) heading toward Uptown Charlotte, the traffic lanes are reduced from 8 to 6 lanes. Traffic is therefore bottleneck from Carowinds Blvd back to the John Belk Freeway (9 miles). May God help you if there is ever an accident on I-77, because thats when the interstate becomes a parking lot. Gretchen, good luck to you and your Real Estate business.
I don't think the comparison is relevant, they are completely two different cities. Charlotte is like Atlanta, and Raleigh is like Greensboro and Winston-Salem, small city with Good Universities, that's all. I live in North Carolina.
Need to fix where your Cue cards are at. Charlotte is 90 minutes to major hiking and has dozens of breweries. No major Lake. A mid level airport at best. I love Raleigh but it’s a second class citizen outside of having the Hurricanes
No one said Charlotte didn't have Breweries smh lol, I mean really ??? It being a bigger city. I would hope so, but Raleigh is known for its Breweries and Universities so her cue card was on point, Major Lake is Falls lake, RDU Airport one of the fastest growing in the counrty, I might add and Wake County has blow by Mecklenburg County in Population and expanding on it's lead and the only reason Raleigh as a city is not bigger is because they didn't annex everything like Charlotte did lol, so stop with the jabs, both areas growing and have pro's and Cons
@@bobwolff941 Here we go again lol, I DID NOT SAY ANYTHING ABOUT CHARLOTTE'S METRO AREA.I SAID WAKE COUNTY HAS A BIGGER POPULATION THAN MECKLENBURG COUNTY lol, so no I'm not kidding I'm just stating factual information according to the latest U.S. Census information.
@@MrRalboi919 that is an irrelevant stat because wake county has 50 percent more land area than Mecklenburg yet it took a century to catch up in population.
I like the Charlotte area better. What are you talkin about Brewery. Asheville is number one two is Charlotte. Raleigh did not make the list. Charlotte got over 50 local Brewery.
This video is so informative
I’m from NYC so Charlotte and Raleigh are relaxing to me. Lol. Both Great places, great state. Craft Beer scene is awaome
You have great skills in explaining this thing
