The best of our old school classics, this song brought memories flooding back, when things were not so tough and we could afford having a small party here and there just to have fun and socialise.
this song just took me way back to my days as a little boy in Zimbabwe, watching Wizzy Masuke on tv, we would sing along, and we had no idea what the song was saying, but we still enjoyed, that's how powerful music is
Thank you for putting this song up. I have been searching for it since I left Zimbabwe in 1998! I used to have the vinyl single but left back home! Thanks!
Those were the days and we would bastardize the lyrics..sort of Shonalizing them. There is a song by Wizzy Masuke called 'Pachikona'. I think originally the song was done by Mukadota or so but Willom Tight also gave a rendition of the same song but the one by Wizzy is the best for me. I an not find it though.
We still havent found pachikona as yet: that song is still elusive. Someone however posted Willom Tight's rendition: its nowhere near Wizzy's version th-cam.com/video/VZZJpBVkTVs/w-d-xo.html
Gone are the days where music was music
Those were the years,,, not understanding one word but enjoyed the beat back then...
