- Lets do a speed test in 10inches of wet snow, what snowblower does the best? Comparison of 2-stage gas powered snow blowers to two 80v battery electric snow blowers (one is 2-stage, other is 1-stage). These are all by Powersmart, one is 24" wide with a 212cc engine and the other is 26" wide with a 250cc engine, one is 24" wide 80v stage, last one is 21" wide 80V single stage. Both gas ones have heated handles for your hands! PowerSmart provided the products for the review.

Honestly glad to see the electric ones suffering lol. Gas powered all the way! Not regretting buying my 26" gas model.
I got a used 28" gas two stage from facebook marketplace for 300 dollars. I've had to tinker with it a fair bit but it works great now just leaks oil a bit

I believe the Ego two stage has separate speed control for wheels versus auger. Ego brand is a little more pricey, but you get what you pay for. I switched from gas two stage to an Ego single stage after recognizing that in the past 40 years, I only needed two stage maybe 5 times. Over kill.
This unit also has a wheel/movement speed control. Auger is all or nothing. For this testing the wheel speed was full ahead.
Long term operating cost of any electric will be way more $$$ than any gasser. Batteries wont last and wont be available tens years or less down the road.
I’ve had my craftsman two stage 9.5hp gasser for 20 years and am working on a craftsman 8hp gasser thats 40 years old. Show me any battery blower that will last that long!!!

This is a decent comparison video though.
One mistake most make is trying to plow too fast.
Set your speed according to the depth and weight of snow.
That first one was kinda junktastic, but the rest not too bad.
Adding that to my dictionary.
I will put my Honda up against any of those.

@@NaterTater I have the HS 1132 with the tracks. I haven’t used it much since I bought a Kubota tractor a few years ago.
Single stage battery snowblowers...
...Forget them unless you're weak, elderly and only want them for 4" of snow. They look so awkward to push. If you sit it on its wheels the front lift, if you point it to the paddles/augur, then it digs in, horrible to watch! Can't beat a gas, 2 stage, self-propelled as always, heated handles blower.
