- Only 45 minute drive from central Kyoto. To enjoy the real Kyoto which should be quiet shrines, temples and zen... and it comes with an onsen... what a great getaway.
Places:
Kyoto
Ohara Onsen
Ohara no Sato
Jakko-in Temple
This looks like such a nice quiet spot. No gimmicks, not luxury. Just quiet comfortable seclusion.
yes, youre on point! its genuine, traditional japanese ordinary ryokan. nothing fancy. the real luxury was being here without thousands of people around you while still feeling kyoto.
I like your use of almost Appalachian music, which makes me think of the land of my birth. And also the reverence for nature - which is still important here in Norway, where I have spent the last 40 years. I've been in Japan once (work), and stayed in the Yokohama Landmark Tower. But we managed to slip off down small side streets and eat at family restaurants, which were very friendly and unpretentious
thank you! i actually lived near the appalachian mountain when i was younger so i am influenced by appalachian, bluegrass, country music. one of the reasons i love nature as well. i have never been to norway, would love to visit one day. i am glad japan treated you well, hope one day you get to visit the nature and seasons here which i find most intriguing!
Very nice made video and perhaps this Onsen will see Me and some of My friends in April when We come to Japan for the first time. I think this Onsen and the nature surrounding it looked amazing. Thanks. Love from Denmark 🇩🇰
Thank you so much! Kyoto is a beautiful city and a must visit destination if you come to Japan for the first time. Although it will be crowded... so this onsen should be a perfect get away after few days in central Kyoto. Such a peaceful village. Hope you have a wonderful trip to Japan!!!
This is so beautiful and also my dream of life thanks for the video
wow thank you! i will have more videos coming!
I wish we had onsens in the US. May have some in particular areas but nothing like japan.
Ive seen a beautiful hot spring in Alaska on youtube. Not that Alasaka is close or anything...
