Utah Scenic Byway drive through snowy Cedar Canyon on Utah Route 14 (Markagunt High Plateau Scenic Byway) in southwest Utah.We begin at nearly 10,000 feet in elevation close to Cedar Breaks National Monument and head west down into Cedar Canyon.
This drive was filmed in March.

Winter wonderland along this scenic byway. Incredible how varied Utah is. Not far away from here is the desert, and here a very forrested region. Located it not far away from Zion, would love to return to Utah and visit more of it, during my road trip last September we concentrated more on the National Parks.

This area is great to get into the winter spirit if you spend a lot of time around St. George and Vegas. Southern Utah is such a beautiful area with such a diverse landscape.

Uh oh; around Navajo Lake and towards the vid's end, the snow was getting so tall that it threatened to turn the road into a slot, with not much to see on either side, just a slot winding this way and that, in front of you. So, that if you wanted your scenery back, you'd have to wait through about two month's hot and dry weather, for those banks to reduce enough to see stuff again.

That was the most snow we've seen up in that area. Definitely a snowy winter in the mountains. The reservoirs need it badly!

This was certainly an unusually snowy winter. The snow is badly needed to refill the reservoirs around the area in the spring thaw!
