The Caucasian Ovcharka is a livestock guarding dog. I had a few as a child. They are very protective of family and babies. In the household they aren't vicious towards their human family. They are gentle giants. They are also territorial. Your young children are protected. But if their friends come over a play roughly, that dog with attack the kid's friends in defense of your child.

I’m not sure , but I think there is a difference between the Georgian sheperd dog that looks after the sheep 🐑 and the Caucasian ovcharka ? Didn’t the Russians take the good shepherds and add other breeds to produce the Caucasian ovcharka ?

And these examples We present to the people, but none will understand them except those of knowledge.

Эх...Если бы я мог ездить к себе наду...Взял бы .Имею опыт с этой породой.Но давно не могу выезжать на дачу.А у меня там - раздолье.Это -лучшая порода,наряду с Питбулем.
Правда я предпочитаю короткошёрстных,грузинских Нагази...
У меня был кобель,короткошёрстный,светлая ему память...Пока меня не было дома,всего то отлучился в Москву...Его расстреляли...Через забор...
Потом,как выснилось - он сильно порвал чьего то мастифа какого то...Тот гулял без поводка,и забрёл на мой участок,через прореху в заборе...Ну мой его и принял...
Потом была вот как ваши -один в один,Зинка,не сосем моя.Служебная,охраняла территорию фирмы,где я работал.За неё никто не смотрел.Жила в маленьком вольере 1.5х2м.Там и ходила под себя.Вся была в говне.Когда я её увидел -я был взбешён!
Я сказал всем -я тут новый,ноя,бля,вас научу,как собак любить.Я заставил их вычистить вольер с хлоркрй(3 суток она жила на цепи у дерева) ,обложил всех данью в 20 руб. в день с каждого ,6 чел.,плюс с руководства отжал ей на содержание не помню сколько... Отвёл её на мойку машин,там её отмыли от говна,потом подстриг наголо,Её радости не было предела.Я стал её выпускать на территорию,около 2га.Как она радовалась,како на носилась...Потом стала меня всего облизывать(в знак признания) -и каждый выгул приносила мне,то кошку,то крысу,то собаку...Прям на крыльцо...
Никого,кроме меня к себе не подпускала.Было её всего года 2.Потм фирма перехала на далёкий адрес,я не мог туда ездить.
Надеюсь я достаточно приучил персонал,как надо с собаками обращаться и с ней было всё в порядке.
уважуха! я за своих собак готов в тюрьму сесть, защищаем друг друга до последнего. Алабай был упитанный, откормил как годзиллу, дом на против леса, живность в лесу, ему не было скучно, часто гулял а по ночам полный выгул до 6 утра. Хочу Кавказца.
