- If you’re looking for the ultimate performance 62” ILF recurve bow you’ll definitely want to check out these amazing limbs for your next build! www.sanlidaoutdoor.com/web/?i...
Please talk to Sanlida about making a left hand version! Thanks for the info!
Idk if you watch any of Jeff Kaminski's content, but he's an Olympic silver medalist archer for Team USA, and Sanlida screwed him over pretty proper. He is calling for a boycott on the company. He has some videos up talking about what happened.
You mentioned to me about buying the miracle x10 limbs for my hermit for increased draw weight. My first thought was "nahh" because I don't want white on the limbs, and I don't want to tape over it. If sanlida makes those limbs just like the hermit, I will be a buyer 🙌 thanks Jeff!
I bought everything. You are costing me a lot of money, you are saving me a lot of money this is fun keep on going. Cant get enough of your shooting its making me better.
Awesome video Jeff & love the 62” bow/limb combo suggestion. If Sanlida offers the 62” hunting bow version in the future I will definitely be a buyer 👍 💯 😊.
I was emailing them about draw length on hermit x10 60". I have 31 inch draw. They spoke of letting me know about 62" model. Now I see this video. Thanks Jeff. You are the best !
Thanks for all your work and content you bring. I have the miracle X8 limbs on my 19 inch riser. I have another set of target carbon limbs on my tbow 19 inch riser that I put a mat carbon vinyl wrap on for hunting. Super smooth fast bow!
Enjoyed the video when I first saw it. I can't afford to get those limbs but it inspired me to try something. I have a 40lb ILF Toparchery recurve, shoots OK but a bit slow. My 40lb Black Hunter longbow is a lot quicker. My recurve is 62". I decided to try 40lb junxing f166 limbs on it. They are meant for a 21" riser, but still give me a 62" bow on the 19" Toparchery riser. It is a bit over 40lb now, probably 42 to 44lb. These are bamboo laminated limbs but fit the riser much better than the original limbs. It is a lot faster, but very smooth to draw and shoot. Only about $135 Australian so an inexpensive upgrade. So thanks Jeff, I guess that's my Frankenbow! Thanks for the inspiration, blessings upon you brother.
Another great video jeff 😊Im glad the hermit is in full production 🙌 I'll definitely consider getting one
Jeff also have you ever thought about having a secondary camera showing the target up close when you are shooting in one of the top corners of the screen. I think that would be a plus for all your videos. And thanks so much for all you do. And thanks for speaking up for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
THANKS for the honesty im busting nocks with the Eagle X9 and can't wait to get the Hermit i have NO PROBLEM with Sanlida God Bless brother!
Lol there’s no denying that they really do have great bows for a great price!
I ordered my Hermit thru Amazon. They emailed me and asked how I heard about them. And I told them you. So hopefully they give you a kick back.
I too, just ordered my Hermit 10 on Amazon. Thanks Jeff, you're an excellent salesman.
Awesome thanks!
@instinctiveaddictionarcher8998 yup, Sanlida asked me too, where I heard about them! My answer was you Jeff.
@@flyneagle8873 thank you I really appreciate that and they have been great to me hopefully we’ll see this new bow offering soon!
I’m hoping Sanlida will listen to your suggestion. I feel like if they offered the Hermit with short, medium, and long limbs, they’d make a killing.
Sanlida would be wise to listen to your suggestion. They should just run a blackout paint job at all 3 lengths and offer the kit in 60-64". I think it would be a great move.
They should also sell a left-handed riser.
Hello Jeff, I recently purchased some Nika N3 progress carbon limbs for around $270. They shoot very fast and smooth also, not sure if you have tried them? As far as performance, 48 lb limbs on a 21” kinetic meos riser at 27” draw, 54lb draw weight, I’m getting 165fps velocity with a total arrow weight of 654 grains. The only complaint a lot of people have is the fork on the limb for the riser ilf riser bolt is machined wide at .378”, most bolts are from .370”-375” max. With the bow strung it does push the fork of the radius of the limb into the bolt/bushing so I’m not sure if it is a problem. Being a machinist, I made up my own bolt bushings to the .378” size. Thanks for all you do! Bob
I have a 62” ILF setup (19” Satori and medium Uukhas) and I recommend the setup if you’re at even 28” like me, I love the smoothness of the setup. Great video
I enjoy your videos and love seeing you shoot. Looks like a wicked good combo! Hope they make a production model. Better yet, offer limbs with exotic laminations under clear glass for a really cool look. When you did the review of the Top Archery ILF bow, I noticed they had the exotic limbs for a few dollars more and then they gave me a 20% discount. I got that bow for $159! It is a shooter too! (And it came with all the extras, arrows, arm guard, etc. I didn't need the extras but it did add value to the deal. Keep up the good work brother!
Absolutely! Thanks brother 👍🏻
Another awesome video you're going to get me put in the dog house man keep doing what you're doing Can't Get Enough thanks
🤣😜👍🏻
I did the same thing.
40# Gillo (chinese made) Long's, on a 17" Discovery...
Glad I did!
#ShootingLife
Thanks brother, one stringer sales awesome camo limb skins!!!
Thanks Jeff
I really like that 62" length, even with my 30" draw. Any shorter than that & I think it gets real iffy real quick. I personally have Nika N3 limbs in medium which I am shooting off my Nika ET-12 25H riser. It's gray & matches those monolith limbs great. The Flipper works great but I'm currently shooting some Pandarus Icepoint 3.2mm bare shafts off the long riser & had to put 140 grains up front instead of 120. I would ❤️ to hunt with these 500 spine shafts if I could find someone like Ethics to make an outsert for them. Especially if I could put my Valkyrie 210 grain short Jags on them 😂🎉❤.
I’m about to go slap my Nika C2’s on and see how it shoots!
My Hermit X 10 arrived last evening. I assembled it today and shot it with my 30.58 long valley of the knock to the tip of my Ethics Archery 150 gr field point. My arrow is a Serious Trad Star 400 shaft. Total weight is approximately 580 gr. I shoot this arrow on my Bear Kodiak Hunter 50 lb. 60 inch bow. I just assembled the Hermit X 10 45 lb bow with 24 INCH LIMBS marked on the box as 24 inch limbs and it will shoot this arrow very accurately. Unstrung this bow is over 60 inches. Strung the bow is just over 58 inches long. The draw is easy. The grip fantastic.
If you ever need an idea for a video actually demonstrating how to silence these bows would be helpful. Yes you did show us but I am a bit slow and a clear demonstration of it would help me. The box has heavier draw weights listed. Had I know they were offering the Hermit in 50 lb that is what I would have ordered.
I have 200 gr inserts in my arrows. If I were to drop to a 100 gr insert with a 150 gr. broad head do you think the 400 spine would still be OK? I do not short draw my bow. The arrow length is correct. The broad head will be safe, just clear of the handle but not by much.
Thanks Jeff!
Yes I believe it would because you can make it as center shot as you want and get a 400 to tune very easily 👍🏻
Jeff, Provided I can reduce the sound of this Hermit X 10 bow it will quickly become my go to bow. I just got in from shooting it and man it is so accurate it is hard to believe. I have a flipper rest, limb savers and other things necessary to silence this bow including a dozen Serious 400 TradStar arrow shafts ordered. You are not wrong about this bow. Thank you!
It would be cool if you had a camera up close to target and show when/where arrows hit the target and maybe put it in the corner of the video. Love your vids and always very very helpful.
Jeff,
Your videos are awesome.
I’m 6’3 230# and draw 30” would love to see a 64” AMO bow to provide less finger pinch.
They do offer three limb lengths! The ones for a 70” Miracle X10 make a 64” recurve on a 19” riser 👍🏻
Another great video brother, please post a link for that Hoyt grip, thank you and may God bless!
Boston bows in UK make a lovely bow 27 inch to 33 inch draw length - 30lb to 170lb B-17 Recurve Flatbow £500.00
Jeff: I’ve got a similar setup. Backwoods Composite 19” riser with DAS 3K limbs. comes in at 62”. Amazing to shoot.
I got it all 2nd hand so I was all-in at $600US
A bit more than the Sanlida though
Even with a 19" riser, long draw archers like myself are better served with long ilf limbs making a 64" bow.
You should do a comparison between wood arrows and carbon and if foc is nessesary for wood arrow penetration, as the forefathers of archery never seemed care about it.
Do you have links to some of the accessories you use when you get a new bow. Like the grip material, velcro, etc...
Jeff I know you have probably said before but where do you get the wrap that you wrap you bow handles with.
I've been interested in upgrading to the Black Wolf, but I've always shot a 58" recurve and I don't know if I will be happier with the 60" or 62" model.
From the manufacture “Hermit 10 bow 62".
At present, we have produced samples of Hermit 10 Limbs 62" and still need to conduct sample testing.
An approximate completion time will not be available until we complete testing and begin to determine production quantities.
And then we will send you an email about sale time at that time, is it okay?”
Do the black widow limbs compare, ive got a 83# that i want to get 40# limbs for but are very expensive bought to bear bows for a little more than the black widow cost
I have a warf hoyt ram hunter riser. It measures 11.5" bolt to bolt. What length limbs would I have to order to get a 62" bow? also if I got 45# limbs what should I expect for draw weight?
Tbh i like the white limbs, im a target shooter so its not so important that they meld in with the scenery. And they look sharp. So i hope for hunters they do darker but for target we like abit of flashy gear lol.
Jeff, TBOW or Hermit? Trying to decide
I shoot only with Long limbs I have 31.5 draw. Mediums just do not forgive where a long is needed.
I just received my Hermit today. The brace height is very short, I'm wondering if they sent me the correct string? I'm new to the recurve and I have a real good local bow shop, so I'll go by and get them to help me set it up. Thanks for your videos. I'm learning a lot.
I had same issue with another bow from them then I twisted string and all adjusted majorly
Will it add stress on the limb as these limbs are made for a 25 inch riser and now you placed them on a 19 inch riser?
No it will not at all, you can run any length limbs on any ILF riser in any combination you like, that’s what’s so good about the ILF system 👍🏻
Great Plains might be re-working the X8 Recurve. If they do I'm going to have to get one.
Honestly they don’t even need reworking in my opinion I could not ask for a better shooting one piece recurve than mine is now at 45# it’s great but most others could definitely use at least a grip and shelf rework probably even retillering but I wouldn’t change a thing on mine.
I have it and like it a lot but if I were to rework it, I would make it even tiller and that's all that's needed. I'm trying to understand how to retiller it myself.
Great Plains does some beautiful work. They have a review of it on there channel and explain what they would do to it.
@@charlesdudley5800 yes sir they are doing a offering a great service for the budget bows and Shane is a wonderful guy!
It's not a surprise. No revolation. The sporting limbs are an evolution for the hunting market. Who makes the after-market wooden grip that fits the Hermit X 10?
R-Core
Jeff l bought a hermit x10 they sent 40 I ordered 45ib limbs can't seem to get ahold of them
what if you use stealth strip tape on the white part will that mess with the flexing of the limbs
Well it’s not any different than artificial snake skins or anything really thin , I can’t see it having any effect.
Any left hand bows from this company yet
Jeff, I’m a little confused! I watched both of your videos! The Mystery Bow and the Frankenstein Bow! I plan on buying the Hermit X10! I also checked out the Miracle 10 limbs! You suggested that the medium limbs created a 62” bow on a 19” riser! Well the Sanlida website doesn’t offer medium limbs! It states 66” 68” or 70”! Which ones are the medium limbs! Thanks for your help! Ron
Hold off for a few days! I’ve got a video coming out today Big News! Sanlida has listed to me and has just released a 62” option with the same Miracle limbs in a hunting finish! Check out the video!👍🏻
@@instinctiveaddictionarcher8998 Oh wow that’s so awesome! Thank you!
Jeff, I'm seriously considering ordering a Sanlida Hermit X10 bow.because of the results you're getting from changing the limbs. You said the limbs were medium length but when I checked for those limbs on the Sanlida website, they sold a variety of lengths in 38 lb limbs. What was the actual length of the limbs they sent you?
Yes, the mediums are listed as 68” which is a 62” on a 29” riser instead of the 25” Miracle 10 riser they’re actually for 👍🏻
Is that a Hoyt satori grip or something different
It’s a Hoyt low wrist competition grip that I ordered directly from Hoyt’s website and it fits perfectly!
Is a 62 inch bow still small enough to hunt out of a tree stand?
It all depends on how tall a guy is, I’m only 5’9” and have hunted with 62” bows a lot but a taller guy would definitely have more flexibility in a tree stand with one.
@@instinctiveaddictionarcher8998 I’m 6’2 with a 30 inch draw
What length are these medium or short?
You lost me in talking about these and possibly the ones to come.
Chrono them ....that would be interesting
I will indeed!😁
@@instinctiveaddictionarcher8998 Good man I look forward to seeing the results
