@Jazzamay When your child cries on the first day of school, is making them go child abuse? She was just nervous; that's what kids do when they are nervous.

Its either people bitching about parents letting their kids get fat, or people bitching about their kids working too hard at some thing. If your kid wants to fight and stay in shape that's great, that's healthy. Just teach him to fight people in the ring, fight people that are worth fighting. Don't teach them to beat people up just because they can. Make sure they know the difference. or eventually they will learn the hard way, its called jail.

I support this kids 100%. Their trainers are qualified, the environment is monitored and controlled, the kids learn useful martial arts, and get a good workout. Much better then letting kids eat McD everyday and die of heart attack before they reach 15.

of course some children turn out okay. but it is still a fact that most people who gets children, have no clue on how to raise a child, they mostly just wing it, learn along the way, and hope for the best. which is admirable, but just not the way to do it, especially after all we have learned about children's psychological development and its vulnerability in its first few years, how the smallest things can change the behavior and thinking of the child in later life.

my mum also had me do all kinds of sports as a kid, i hated it
it is better than letting ur kids get fat sitting in front of the tv
    like typical American kids
    fat, ugly, dumb, ...
but let them do something they like
i only found out in my teens martial arts is really the kind of sports i wanted to do
that and/or skiing, shud have tried that earlier instead of a fuckload of other sports i hated

THISGUY I don't mean there's no difference in style, just that kids have been learning a fighting technique for years. Such as TKD, Boxing, Kickboxing. Even wrestling has been taught in public school for Decades. People act like this is a new concept.

As a martial artist myself, I fully support teaching kids how to defend themselves and give them a good work out. But when the boy talked about the fights at school and his mum talking about being called names gets him fired up and the girl being made up for her tournament is where my red lights go off. Above all else the martial arts is to teach discipline, focus, and control of the mind and body as much as teaching how to defend yourself. Not simply how to beat people up.

The first rule of Kiddie Fight Club is, you DO NOT TALK ABOUT KIDDIE FIGHT CLUB
The second rule of Kiddie Fight Club is, you DO NOT talk about Kiddie Fight Club.
If someone cries, says, “mommy I got a boo boo” the fight is over.
    Two tots to a fight.
One kiddie fight at a time.
No shirts, no shoes, no action figures and no blankies and no toys of any kind.
Kiddie fights will go on as long as they have to or until someone cries.
If this is your first night at Kiddie Fight Club, you have to fight.

i dont see why everyone says that there bad parents. this is just like parents forcing there kids to get good grades and forcing them to dance or whatever the hell else. fighting is a sport, just like football and baseball and hocky. let the danm kids fight

  • @nerdface92
    @nerdface92 14 ปีที่แล้ว

@nephildevil a lot of parents do that in america, too, actually. i was put in soccer when i was 5. i played till i was 8 and then i quit because i wasn't any good, and my parents were ok with that. they support me no matter what.
i swim and play basketball. i have a 3.7 gpa.
    im NOT dumb and fat.
by the way it's "should" not "shud
i dont think that it's fair to make kids do things they don't want to do in the sports area, especially if it's a contact support like fighting.

@widiwutsch parents raping, killing, physically abusing, and/ or neglecting there kids is sick stuff. Parents making there kids chase selfishly chase their own washed up passions may be sad and bad parenting, but I wouldn't call it sick. There's worse things out there.

  • @Peekablue

I have no issue with kids this young learning martial arts... but it should be defensive, with focus on fun, and how and when NOT to use the techniques. I don't think these sports should be competitive until the kids are much older for a long list of reasons. I am a big fan of martial arts, competitions included, but this shit is ridiculous. Toddlers & kids participating in martial arts contests with their soft bones is so, so dangerous - even with padding, kicks and fists can be misplaced.

tbh this documentary can be taken completely out of context. A lot of the things shown are out of order but it's not limited to thai boxing. If anyones ever went to watch a kid's football match you'll see even worse reactions from the parents at the sideline.
However, Thai boxing shouldn't be blamed for what some of these kids do. It's the parents. And even then, some of the kids obviously like it - if you've never trained and fought then you'll never fully understand.

I know this is just my opinion. and we all have different ways of bring up kids... but to teach them to "fight" so young...seems wrong. If they are interested in it, let them watch it a little on tv, and when they are a little older... then help them pursue it... But look at the little girl... she is scared, when your scared it's not fun!

You know people call this child abuse and point fingers at these parents. Well guess what children cry playing other sports to. Children are forced to participate in sports such as football, baseball, and soccer. When children cry at these events it's considered "cute". Turn to a sport that involves fighting and suddenly it's "child abuse".

@casper93471 How Is This Any Different Than Putting Your Kid In Soccer Or TKD ? Every Sport Has That Fanatical Parent Who Maybe Takes It A Little Farther Than There's Supposed To But These Kids Enjoy It Its Fun For Them And In The End It Will Make Them Better People. Anyone Who Has Ever Trained In Thai Boxing Or Any Other Martial Art For That Matter Will Tell You That They Don't Ever Get Into Fights At School Because They Know How To Fight And That Confidence Alone Will Ward Off Any Bully

I train fighters, Ive even worked with kids, I think that it instills confidence and discipline in kids, but this is borderline abuse. I dont know if it being a girl makes me biased, but this kid isnt into it at all it seems. I mean, go into MMA yourself, if you want, but dont railroad this little girl.

It's pushing your kids to defend themselves. Do you want your kids to be some pansys, or do you want them to be someone no kid would DARE mess with. And just because I don't agree with your personal opinion doesn't mean I'm delusional. There forcing there kids to excel in something. Besides, little boy liked it. would you really try to take away his dream of being a champion because YOU think fighting is wrong? plus i never said I'd make my kids do it. but if other people want to. let them

teaching kids martial arts is great, but forcing them into competitions is not cool. I personally think that people shouldn't enter martial arts tournaments until they are at least 13, but that's just me
