Who remembers 3 Winston 3 Lucio teams
Bastion's Ironclad was 35% when introduced on February 28, 2017, and it was subsequently nerfed to 20% 3 days later on March 3, 2017.
The main reason it was so overpowered is because this was also the update where they made his Self-Repair not be interrupted by damage, meaning he could just sit there in turret form taking 35% less damage while also getting 75 health per second from his self healing along with whatever healing he was getting from his supports.
Also this was before there was a cap on dmg reduction. So nano had it's full effect on top of ironclad.

Miss Internethulk :( i remember starting to be a fan of his only a few months before he passed. The fact that it happened during blizzcon was even more depressing at the time. Almost 6 years now, wish we could go back.
The way the IP was mishandled, promises never delivered, the most interesting people leaving/being let go/passing, leagues and tournaments being railed by Blizzard all for promoting OWL, a complete change in team when the team was the best part about everything that was overwatch. Never seen a IP fumbled this hard.
I was a doom main and I enjoyed doing funny rollouts or just punch botting to see people fume in gen chat it was great

Them designing characters around being unique and fun to play, rather than if they're "annoying to play against", like bruh hanzo and widow have existed forever, let characters be annoying lol
Watching Miro, Ryuehong, and Zunba play in OW were the greatest. I miss it so much.
The thing I always notice about old pro ow is how far in skill the pros have come nowadays, like that turnaround pin by Kaiser would be like a diamond level play today. Love Kaiser tho, one of the best reins ever
I have an idea as to why getting a 5 man wipe doesn't feel as good as a 6 man. It's cause if you came from the 6v6 format for years, you can't escape this feeling of, "We missed one somewhere! Stay alert!" 😂😂
for me it’s because in ow1, the tone that athena says “sextuple kill!” sounds like the climax, but now we can only get up to “quintuple kill”, and she says it in the same tone as she does when there were 6ks, so theres anticipation in her voice but theres nothing after that.

Good times. Honestly so happy to have been with the community since 2016 and made many good memories. Just happy I found a crew to play almost every weekend

What happened with him?
He passed away from complications from tonsilitis, it was so tragic-was only 30. Was a huge loss to the OW scene.

The Reinhardt poster with the white flower and candle in the Eichenwalde attack spawn for point A is a tribute to him. I always salute it when I play Reinhardt on that map
I would pay so much money to relive hopping on og overwatch and grinding for gm game by game. Makes a grown man cry seeing what they did with this game.
I know right, even when I casually played it I was having a BLAST, and grinding comp was so fun too
Talking with the one of the beginning points about 6ks, I agree! The difference between the feeling of a team kill on 5v5 vs 6v6 is a quite huge in my opinion

Watching this made me realize how much better the sound design for overwatch 1 was lol, everything sounded so crisp and nice and now it feels like all the sound effects are watered down and boring

lmfao dude, I mained genji for the last year of ow1, and then in ow2 I was like wtf is this shit, it used to sound SO CRISP, and I miss soldier's old gun sound, I know Ana didn't change a TON but hers too

You know what I don't miss, nano blade being an insta team win. No matter your rank it wasn't easy to deal with in the early days.

The bunker comps with the first iteration of bastion passive was ridiculous.
The reason Jay feels like 6k felt satisfying is because the killfeed got fat every time.OW2 fades a bit quicker.
I remember when Bastion could headshot, Tanks stood no chance what so ever :D
11:30 i think it was because damage reduction didn't have a 50% cap, nano boosted bastion in turret could tank a dva bomb

It was 50% ironclad damage but bastion had armor so it was a double dip damage reduction which was busted af.

As someone that never played OverWatch one but plays a lot of Call of Duty and OverWatch 2 I can completely agree that six kills is way better than 5 kills I don't know why but when you get 5 kills you're just expecting that one more to show up that one extra piece to top it all off and you don't feel that when you get six kills because six is enough 6 is a lot

I love ow (I'm ow2 player) but I played the game at 2016 at one of my friends acc at Playstation but i loved the game (I couldn't bought it bc I don't had much money) I was playing fortnite and blackops3 and 4 I love ow still even if ppl think that it's a bad game and jay is bad grownass mf
The same people saying they miss ow1 are the same people who complained about double shield.... just admit you were wrong and 6v6 is better.

OWL is bad for OW.
Those clips before were amazing and now this highly polished turd we call OWL is supposed to beat that? Nah, disband OWL and support many, but smaller tourneys. With a couple of big gems in there. Meta defining changes happen in the other tourneys. Mirrors happen in OWL. Which one is more fun to watch?

OW2 made me quit entirely this game. Very sad kinda, loved it and they killed it. Also OW2 needs more sysrequirements than ow1, literally cant play properly anymore anyways.
