I was hoping for 6-6 coming into the season, but after how the year played out and seeing that we did have a solid roster it's disappointing. Leaving 3-4 wins on the table because of sloppy turnovers, penalties, and missed assignments is disheartening, but sadly not surprising after the previous two seasons. It sucks to see a lot of guys not reach their potential due to the same mistakes happening time and time again all season. Shoutout to guys like Landon, Armstrong, Tess, and a few of the other upperclassmen that stayed when they could have left in the off-season and playing their butts off this year.

I hear the argument over and over that the coaches can’t go out there and play for them. I could get with that if it were a time or two, here or there. But it seems like it’s EVERY week that they shoot themselves in the foot repeatedly with false starts, holding, missed blocking assignments, missed coverage assignments, etc. At some point in the season it’s got to fall on the coaches for letting it continue to happen without correction. Ole Miss blew our doors off. We had a legitimate chance to win the other 5 games we lost but we self destructed. I have given up on Pittman and his ability to take this program any higher.

I just don't understand how Missouri,South Carolina,Vanderbilt and even Kentucky before this year can turn it around so quick. I realize Missouri has been relevant for awhile but with our Facilities and backing there is no excuse this should be going on every year. I love and support my Hogs just hate that this happens year after year it's to the point I am not even looking forward to the next season..

Would have been happy with 7-5. Hogs should have beaten OSU and yesterday Missouri to finish regular season 8-4. If football Hogs don't go at least 7-5 next year, Sam has got to go.
A lack of timeouts wasn't the problem. The Hogs staff didn't use the one they had to properly manage the final minute, and they never used it. They essentially lost about 25 seconds.
Seriously, Taylen Green needs to sit down with a sports psychiatrist and find out why he keeps making the same ridiculous freshman mistakes over and over again. I don't need to list them, since everyone knows what they are. You guys on "4th and 5" keep saying he shouldn't be benched because his ceiling is high. I agree that his athletic ceiling may be high, but his emotional ceiling, and maybe his mental ceiling as well, really need to be raised somehow. As to the sports psychologist thing, we need someone to teach the winning mindset to the team, because they simply don't know how to develop the hard determination to win games. If you don't believe it, count on your fingers and toes (you'll need them, too) all the games in the last 4 seasons, including this one, that we lost by 10 points or less and compare that to the number we won by 10 points or less. You'll figure out that Sam's teams have simply never had the mental and emotional stamina to get and hold a lead, and that may be the big reason they haven't had more success.

My preseason prediction was 8-5. I thought this 2024 team would parallel the 2009 Liberty Bowl team that you played on. Turnovers and penalties kept that from being a reality unfortunately.
Time to leave the SEC, get better recruiting, & money for the school. The program needs a rebirth, SEC outgrew Arkansas. Big 10 & Big 12 could do some damage, win a conference title or more, & probably be year over year a top 20 or 10 team. We need new exposure for better recruiting, most importantly more wins.

The mistakes cost us three games three games we should’ve won however I had us at seven wins. If we would’ve just won that Oklahoma State game I would’ve had a perfect record this year.
Regardless of Preseason expectations I would say that 6-6 in year 5 at an SEC program fllowing a 4-8 year 4 warrants firing without question. False starts qnd holding don't have anything to do with Dink and they had 7 penalties on their own. They simply got half their points on two turnovers. They had a fumble that they was able to jump on and #8 Jayden Johnson should have had that one as it was right at his feet.

Pittman is retiring after the surgery (bowl game ) it’s been decided that Barry Odom will coach the team and Bobby P is staying and T Will is going to stay if he doesn’t have any head coaching gigs come available. The source: It comes from a staffer (close friend ) of an assistant coach at a skilled position. Believe. Me or not but it’s happening it’s already been done. Coach Odom announced he will not be back at UNLV next season. So what’s ur guys thoughts.
