Algorithm sent me here figured I comment hi, to help you grow. Good job. Crazy how much gap you had
I appreciate the support. My gaps were huge. But nothing compare to what I have seen driving around. Pretty sad to see installers not take the extra time.
Great work! Thanks for the info.

Wow! Looks great! Come to my house next 😆 I have a wide gap like you did. Hopefully I’ll be able to do on my own
Haha! There are other methods, but this certainly looks the best to me.
Hi,
Do you have any ideas for filling gaps for gates? Thank you!
Hard to say without seeing the gate. Vinyl, wood, metal?
Impressive work
Thank you and thanks for watching!
Looks great! How’s it holding up? Any weeds so far? And I’m interested to see how the other side looks…
The other the side is completely covered by dirt/grass. So you dont even see anything at all on the other side. It’s held up great so far, just need to go back add some more rocks after the winter.
Best video out there for my problem. Quick question how much do the bottom rails go for? They really don’t show much online thanks
@@robertsereno791 I appreciate it. Thanks for watching. SUBSCRIBE 😎 I believe I paid about $17 a piece. Here is a set I came across on Amazon: amzn.to/4dz4LK9 Kinda of pricey on Amazon. Try calling up your local vinyl fence companies.
@@DIYBRY yeah that’s what I saw last night on amazon pretty expensive, I guess I’ll call around thanks for your help buddy
@@robertsereno791 Good luck!
Thank you. Now I need to find those bottom pieces. What are they called again?
@@johnhouli3450 Thanks for watching! Remember to Subcribe! The piece is called: Vinyl Fence Rails: amzn.to/3FL58CA
Looks great! I have some big angled pieces in my backyard I need to do this to.
But there is cement curbing under all of the fence, and neighbor on the other side probably should look good from both sides.
What's your recommendation on that?
If you can get on to the other side of the fence, that would probably help. I’d hold it up the way you want it on your side, then from the other side, draw a line so you know where to make your cut to get the angle right.
No wind can travel through that fence
@@Ken-b2l An astute observation. Wind cannot (and has never been able to) travel “through” a vinyl fence. 🤣 Better check out chainlink instead.
Just an FYI, that is not what a gap under the fence is for. Vinyl fence installers leave a gap under the fence to accommodate temperature fluctuations, which cause the vinyl to expand and contract, preventing potential warping or damage to the fence if it were installed directly on the ground; this gap also allows for easier maintenance and cleaning around the base of the fence, and can help with drainage by preventing moisture buildup underneath.
The solution in my video shows excellent drainage with the rocks and space underneath the fence. The solution is also only really intended for those whose fences were poorly installed, circumstances have changed since install, or just unsightly.
Question. We recently got a fence installed and they're are gaps!!! Why is this? Did they install it wrong? Cause my thing is the same as yours. Whats the point of having a fence at all if animals can still crawl underneath and get in?
If you just recently had it installed, my guess is they did not to a great job on the install. But without seeing it, it is hard to say. How big are the gaps? Installed on grass?
@@DIYBRY Not to wide but noticeable for me to see. A snake could crawl in! And yes on grass!!
@@alizeluss6188 does not sound like they are very big. Better for weed-whacking that way. Is the fence at least straight?
@@DIYBRY Yes its very straight. I went bk out and looked again and it isn't that big of a gap but im going to hire some new ppl to take a look at it cause its just bothering me a bit. I have kids and want them safe playing in the backyard!
@@alizeluss6188 best of luck.
Bro just a suggestion... Maybe change your background music. No one wants to hear the same music on ever single video. Usually when new people find your channel they check out videos on your channel. It gets seriously annoying when every video has the same music over and over again. Do yourself a favor and either mix the music up or drop it all together.
Thanks for the suggestion. There is a lot of royalty free music out there, most of which is worse than this I am sure you can guess. TH-cam runs checks on the music. I had to take a video down before because what should have been royalty free was flagged as copyright. Theses tracks are free and do check out with TH-cam. I feel you, but I have spent hours trying to find better things, trust me.
