    You take off all of the top soil when doing that...

    Good to grease every time you fuel so you can remember. Or every 10 hrs. . Grease is cheap, repairs are not.

    every 10 hours or so of use works for use. Plus it tells you in the manual.

    It's best to do it every 10hrs if working it hard.

    Implements like loaders I grease often enough I am certain there is fresh grease on the wearing parts. Every time before a big day of using it periodically if you are just using it for jobs that are a few minutes. If I hear it squeak I stop and grease. Lubricants are cheaper than parts. Grew up on a farm still here. Been greasing equipment for over 40 years I’ve seen lots of damage from not enough grease very little from too much. Your operators manual should caution you of areas that should not be over greased. Things like near brakes or clutches or baler knotters. Brutish things like loader pins I grease until some squirts out. Happy machine operating to you! Always read and follow the equipment manual.

      Hey there, thanks for all the advice! I am still a newbie tractor owner, so it is nice to hear from others that have the experience. Yea, since posting this video I pretty much just top off the grease every single time I use the loader. I usually make a bit of a mess in the process and somehow always managed to get my clothes lol, but seems to be working! Thanks again and have a great week! - Shane

      Our local dealer has a 2022 with a mower and front end loader priced at 18k right now. Tax of course gets ya too, but hopefully your dealer isn't trying to rip ya off. - Shane

    I fail to see the point? The land is already cleared; just use it and trail will naturally form

    • @DnSAdventures
      @DnSAdventures  ปีที่แล้ว

      We mostly walk through our trail (usually walking the dog daily) rather than riding side by sides/atvs etc. So we still maintain it like this about once or twice a year in an attempt to keep the main trail in our woods clear of tall weeds/overgrown brush. Thanks for watching - Shane

      @@DnSAdventures Just mow it. Grass would keep it from being mud when wet.

    I have a question for ya......just got off phone with dealer and they just got our snowblower in and I had asked about box blade and quick attach. told quick attach not available with subcompact. have you looked into a quick attach for this unit? Hopefully our tractor will be delivered mid next week.. more on the to do list is being added...lol
    thanks
    Glenn.

    • @DnSAdventures

      I thought about getting one of those quick attach too. Not sure however if it would fit since the 21S does seem to have a narrow 3 point hitch compared to other subcompacts. However goodworks tractors out of Michigan ( I believe) had some videos with those quick attach for subcompacts. Just not sure if it would fit this tractor specifically. But he would be a good guy to ask! :)

    I've heard every 10 hours of operation, but I'm probably averaging 10-15 so far. If you're not operating in a dusty or dirty environment, I think any more than that just wastes grease.

    • @DnSAdventures
      @DnSAdventures  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is what a lot of other folks are saying as well, so I am going to stick to that recommendation. Thanks for the tips! - Shane

    I'm looking to fo this around the woods surrounding my house. The roots are nasty, but you found it cleared them up?

    • @DnSAdventures
      @DnSAdventures  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The box blade caught on some of the larger roots and I had to skip over a few sections. I bet if the tractor was a tad more powerful it would have ripped through some of them though. Definitely a handy implement to have on the property. Tore right through the grass and weeds though. - Shane

    The top link, simple fix,.Put another hole in the top link connection on the blade closer towards the tractor. The top link will no longer make contact with its blade mount

  • @rickpacheco8864
    @rickpacheco8864 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Tractor supply has the top link, I think around 40 bucks. I would bring the old one with you to match it up.

    • @DnSAdventures
      @DnSAdventures  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think I got the wrong one from tractor supply and the cat 0 top links seemed too small. Almost as if these Mahindra emax tractors have somewhere in between. They could have just been out of stock though, I'll check again next time I am there. Thanks! - Shane

    You ought to try using a heavy drag on your trail. 2 5-6 foot logs attached to a piece of chain link fence or a 6 foot piece of I-beam.

    Hi, I have the same tractor three years now and I believe it says grease the front end loader every 10 hours of use. But I would check the manual to be sure. But I think that’s what it is. Good luck.

    • @DnSAdventures
      @DnSAdventures  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That makes sense based off what I've heard others say as well. Good idea on checking the manual! I usually skim through rather than reading as much as I should haha. - Shane

    We grease our equipment "every now and then" mostly when we think of it and the grease gun is close. Although I think it should probably be done more often than that. If you use it semi regularly and get to it every other week you should be in good shape. I like the 10hr mark above too.

    Why did you go with this brand of tractor?

    • @DnSAdventures
      @DnSAdventures  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mostly just weighing the pros and cons of higher price vs what we get with the tractor. The JD1023/5 definitely have a lot more options and gadgets, but what sold me on this tractor was the ability to get a backhoe in the future if I really needed one. Didn't really need a large tractor and this one seems to get up and down the trails we have fairly easily. Not to mention the ROPS fold down enough to get it in the barn. I will probably make a video on this at some point though since there are quite a few smaller reasons I went with this as well.

      From there nouths.
      deer said once his goes, and it's not far from it.
      he's getting a mahindra.
