    I assembled a 10 X 12 by myself. Your tips helped a lot. I do not recommend doing it alone but I did not have a choice.

    I built mine alone thanks to your video. I only needed a helper to put the roof on.

      Did you do the beams for the roof or just lifted it

    • @MikeG19

      @@HatGuy2022 lifted it. It’s actually not too heavy and you can lift it while climbing the ladder sliding it in its space.

    Just installed one for a customer , I really like it, over appears well built and nice design except the rafters but the design creates additional strength because of the alternating pattern of the wood, pieces, you will understand once you buy and install, overall looks great and structurally sound ,should last for many years if stained or painted periodically. Plan on two 7 hr days to build, also organize all your nuts and bolt on a table for easy access, I recommend reading instructions through first for a better understanding , makes the process easier. Really like it, would definitely recommend buying it. I want one now that I just installed it for someone else.

    Nice. It should be noted that even though most local governments allow large sheds and other things without permits, Gazebo's and Car Ports are usually the exception, as they have a nasty habit of taking off in high winds.

    Great job. A friend and I are building the 20x12 Barrington next month and it looks like there's some similarities but also some distinct differences, notably the middle supports and the hip roof. Because we both have a lot of experience (including Backyard Discovery playsets), we hope to finish in a day but that may be a bit too ambitious.

  • @nasarazam

    Very nice. Putting the two roof half on top and using prybar to snap it in and aligning holes could be the challenging party for me... Yes, the posts not being solid is deceptive

    • @DavidAlanReece
      @DavidAlanReece 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It's actually a better design to have the posts made the way they are. A solid post will twist and become a problem as it dries out in the sun. A post made with 4 boards will keep the post nice and straight for a much longer time, and will reduce and in most cases eliminate twists and curves. Nothing deceptive...just good engineering.

    Great looking structure, good work.
    I’m looking for a means of constructing a covered car port for an RV, of nicer quality than your typical pole barn type build. This is a candidate.
    The main legs of this build are hollow, seems a 4x4 post would slide in no? You could elevate this up 4ft, sleeve the existing legs over 4x4 posts cemented in the ground. Getting a 12ft clearance carport. Maybe cross bracing after, do to it being taller.
    Happy to get input/feedback from anyone willing to offer.

    Did you have the metal panel on the left side not hanging all the way to end of the rafter boards? I have it hanging 1/8” off the right side and 3/8” off the fascia but both roof panels don’t cover with metal all the way to the left side of each panel.

    I already have a concrete slab, but it (the slab) slopes slightly towards drainage. Would it be possible to install this gazebo on a slightly sloped slab? Would you just move some of the concrete brackets?

    • @D.I.Y._All-in-One
      @D.I.Y._All-in-One  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You're just gonna need to add some shims to one side of the gazebo or trim the posts on 1 side so the gazebo so it sits level.

    • @jameslester6785
      @jameslester6785 ปีที่แล้ว

      Installing the roof panel piece by piece would be challenging but I believe it could be done. I had about 5 feet on either side so I prebuilt the framework on the ground and slid them up into place without any problem. I installed the metal once the framework was in place.

    I really hate these kits . The cheap companies that make these things they make them cheap and structurally unsound in bad weather . This does not include the metal roof . 29 gauge steel roof . Come on 29 gauge !!!!!!! That is vary thin crap there . 29 gauge is someing less than 0.0135 . That's right 0.0135 of an inch . Way too thin folks . A steel roof on a pole barn is a no less than 26 gauge or it should be or used to be . 26 gauge = 0.0179 of one inch . This may not sound like a lot but it is .

      @jameslester6785 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jeffmullinix7916 I'm not selling anything. I just put one together, which is likely more than you have done. It is a quality kit with kiln dried and very flat, warp free wood. The kit went right together with zero issues. It's a quality product from a quality company. Oh, I do have a background in construction. I do own a barn with heavier gauge metal. In this case, I seriously doubt it will make any difference what-so-ever. It's just a gazebo. When a company puts out a quality product and has good customer service, we should build them up, not make derogatory comments.
