What is your favorite lens for your Canon ? Will you be getting the Canon RF 24-105 F/2.8 ?
Didn’t even realise this len’s existed! I got rid of my EF 24-105 because at F4 it just wasn’t quick enough for the type of stuff I shoot commercially, it’s still the sharpest lens I’ve owned though. Seeing that they’ve put out a F2.8 RF version is something I didn’t expect, but I think it’ll sell well
It is an awesome lens but terribly expensive 🫰🏼
I am about to order this lens and the R5 II when it arrives. They should make a good combination.

Great review sir..Overall, the 24-105mm lens is a more versatile lens with a longer focal length, better image stabilization, and faster autofocus. However, it is also more expensive and requires a separate adapter for smooth video zooming. The 24-70mm lens is a more affordable option that is still a great all-around lens.

Hi, good video. At 24mm is the field of view the same on both lenses? Remember seeing another video where they claimed it wasn't as wide(possibly due to lens corrections). Thx
Hi thanks for watching I have not seen this myself in my tests when I shoot RAW however I cant say 100% certain as if someone uses JPEGs and the camera does its magic you may find a slight difference but nothing that would stand out cheers Hieth
What about severe chromatic aberration and flaring of 24-105 f2.8?
I have not noticed any myself ?
I did my friend. And it’s a lot. And very blurred and unclear close focus shots in 105 wide open. Watch ChristopherFrost review. I was very disappointed with this lens when I had tried it to replace my 24-70 f2.8

Now aperture ring works for photo also r5ii and r1

@@HiethGeorgeWas soll daran toll sein? Eine R5 Mark I und eine R6 Mark II bleiben aussen vor! Das ist üble Firmenstrategie! Das vorgestellte Hybridobjektiv würde sich besser verkaufen ohne diese Einschränkung! Canon hat auch keine Begründung geliefert für diesen Einschnitt! Dieses Objektiv wird ein Nischenprodukt bleiben nicht nur wegen des Preises! Zu klobig und wer braucht einen Power Zoom Adapter....
@@ER-gn8io I agree they should do a firmware update to accommodate the R5 MKI and R6 MKII - I don't need a power zoom adapter but it would be good for video !
Well, where they really buggered it up with the zoom adapter is not giving a proper rocker switch, especially for the money they’re asking for the thing.
