What made BTS different from the start was that, though they had a difficult schedule singing, dancing, practicing hard; but one thing that they got to do was to also express themselves as creative artists. Back then, it was not a common practice for idols to enjoy that creative freedom. And even till date, this is what sets BTS apart is that, they still get to express their individuality through their own work as well. Our boys really earned every bit of respect and love that we ARMYs have for them. 💜
Also adding to it…BTS got to choose how much they practiced, etc. Bang Pd even said this. So all the hard work and effort that they put in was their choice…I believe it is the same to this day…
Namjoon is definitely one of those people who are very thoughtful and tend to really ponder about life and what it means to be human and an artist. At times he would write really long letters to share with us armys where he would talk about his current thoughts. It feels like an honour to have him share his innermost thoughts and feelings because he doesn't shy away from being vulnerable and reflective and it's so precious because he is giving something personal to so many people, which is so brave as well. BTS shared and continue to share so much content when they are not on stage giving a performance. You can feel their sincerity, love and respect for each other.💜
There were a number of trainees that either didn't make the cut, or they quit when the group changed from a Hip Hop/Rap group, to a Hip Hop Idol Group (under the K Pop Umbrella). This guy was one that quit, Supreme Boi was one that decided to be a producer and stayed on with Big Hit. There are others, I just don't know who they are. They do have a lot of rules, but in their early years it's necessary. They were honing their skills, and you can see their growth over the years. The difference is that they were given creative freedom, which a lot of K Pop stars from big agencies aren't given. And they aren't held to as strict a standard as the other groups.
This episode always breaks my heart every time I watch it just cuz of the struggles they went through especially RM 🥺 my ultimate bias is Jimin but I have a weakness for RM and every time I watch him rap 😮💨

I believe these rules are more for the members for protection, privacy, etc. In my opinion, (I could be wrong) BTS help make it a little easier for other idols now...Like for instance many things BTS has done that shows that they aren't perfect, which also makes us love them more because it humanizes them more. I also wanted to say that anytime BTS release new music (as a group) is called a comeback. I love when Suga does that thing with his voice as well!!! By chance could you pls check out these two groups as well (take your time though)? As they got more famous & had less time even bts started to attend cyber university. As far as I remember - Jin has already completed his masters. Suga Jhope Rm Jimin V are currently pursuing their masters Jungkook is doing his bachelors
bts was supposed to be a 12member hiphop group and namjoon was the maknae lol but the concept change and yep most of the trainee quit since they felt that its not for them.some stay as a producer tho
Im gonna do a shameless thing and recommend a girl group I think you will like and I hope you get to see one day. They are called Mamamoo and they are top tier vocalists in my opinion. They are crazy talented and funny af. For me, as an ARMY they are the closest to BTS (except they are really under-appreciated) 💖 if you decide to venture in the Mamamoo world I would recommend their Killing Voice which is a live mash up of their most famous songs. Its impressive

All of these regulations though are very similar to the sports world, incredibly similar. To produce raw perfected talent there is a lot that needs to be sacrificed, and the work needs to be immense. So it’s terrible and I do think some things need to be taken out of the regulations, but regarding drugs and some other things, just like sports - it makes you better if you stay away from it.
I love American Hustle Life. The beginning was the only cringey part of that show but what really stand out to me was the lessons and BTS's determination, mindset and how they handle different situations
