    The real dream build, didn't see any build that convert air to coil fork, that was sick

    • @WhyteBikesExperience

      Coil is the way forward if you can stretch the pennies and don't mind the slight weight increase. Small bump sensitivity is amazing and the bike just comes alive.

    Okay wow! What a dream build. Great music coil conversion! Usually dream build videos are super boring with ASMR Music. This was the best build video. Brilliant spec.

      Thanks. Honestly the best upgrade you can do to any fork is a coil conversion. Especially the Push Acs3 kit.

    Beautiful bike! How does it ride especially in comparison to the carbon #oncoil full 27.5 version?

    • @WhyteBikesExperience
      @WhyteBikesExperience  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      This one is 27.5 all round and feels pretty similar. I would say it is even more poppy and playful. Climbing is better too. The ability to switch the geo with the flip chip and use angle headsets is a major plus too.

    great video - question - whats the key to routing the rear mech housing and dropper on this? looks like it doesnt have tube in tube guides so is it a pain to route? can you explain how you did it on this video or hows best as it doesnt actually show how you did it, would be really appreciated before mine arrives so i know what ive got to do :) cheers!

    • @WhyteBikesExperience
      @WhyteBikesExperience  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      We went from the middle out.
      Go from lower port on downtube up to the large port by the head tube.
      We used the natural curve of the gear cable where it comes out of the coiled box to keep the cable end running along the top of the chainstay tube which is helpfully popped right out the port before the mech.

    I like very much the Transition frame in aluminum Patrol or Spire model.. I don't understand why you have the new Rockshox fork disassembled and changed the springs and some parts. I wonder were the original parts not good, or was the fork not fully assembled yet? Thanks for this video recension and answer to me.. Greetings from Switzerland..

      Wants coil over air. Clearer trail feedback, more midstroke support, less friction, more consistent despite weather changes, less maintenance but heavier.

    • @WhyteBikesExperience
      @WhyteBikesExperience  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      We went for the coil upgrades for the better small bump sensitivity and mid stroke support. You should try a coil bike if you get the chance.

  • @offended22
    @offended22 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Did you put a bigger fork on it to run 27.5 front wheel

    • @WhyteBikesExperience
      @WhyteBikesExperience  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      We used the 27.5 Lyrik with 37 offset with 170mm travel. Rough workings make it 6 mm lower but we are running it in the low setting to give it the same head angle.

  • @dho11

    Nice! un-mulleted? is it more or less playful?

    • @WhyteBikesExperience
      @WhyteBikesExperience  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Very playful. I wouldn't say the mullet setup isn't playful because it still is but I would say the full 27.5 setup just makes it feel like a bigger hitting Scout.

  • @michaelkay4464
    @michaelkay4464 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Wouldn't this leave your BB super low and your HTA significantly steeper? Transition recommends 200m to keep the same geo. Looks really awesome though, and is what I'd love to build at some point.

    • @WhyteBikesExperience
      @WhyteBikesExperience  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Michael, with a quick measure up in the low setting I have the bike the BB height measures at 325mm and head angle at 63degrees. If i'm honest the drop of 8mm from Transitions 'estimated' BB height hasn't given me any clearance issues and I only had 170mm cranks about rather than the OEM 165mm.

    • @WhyteBikesExperience
      @WhyteBikesExperience  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@bikeninja956 Climbs really good just like any Transition. Weight means very little if the geo is correct. You can have a real light bike that feels like a slog with poor geo. The steep seat tube really help with pedalling. If not for the coil conversions it would sit in the 34lbs area which isn't bad for an Aluminium 170mm travel machine.
