Just felt more comfortable like that, since for small kids, stairs do seem more like ladders with how tall the steps can be, so might as well use them as such. Plus, it also ends up feeling smoother and might be faster than just walking. Wouldn't recommend it if you care about hygiene though.

There's only two that could be considered as maybe being a 'furry' habit, that being all-fours and walking on the ball of your foot. I did both, and sometimes still do (but due to my back and general lack of reach in my arms, the all-fours thing doesn't happen so often now).
