Crews battling fire at Dallas church Tuesday afternoon

Crews are fighting a fire at a local church Tuesday afternoon, according to Dallas Fire-Rescue.
Dallas Fire-Rescue responded to a structure fire at Saintsville Church of God located at 2200 South Marsalis Avenue. This is west of Cedar Crest Golf Course and east of Wynnewood Village.
The initial call was received a little before 2 p.m., and the first arriving crews found smoke spreading from the vents and part of the roof. Immediate fire suppression efforts started once firefighters arrived, according to Dallas Fire-Rescue.

So disappointing to see departments not put firemen on the ladders to operate the elevated streams and get the water exactly where it needs to go.

I think it's great that they can stay out of the fire, stay out of the burning building, and still control the hoses from the ground. They got the water where it needed to go, and nobody got hurt. That's a win-win in my book.

Nope. Firemen put out fires, not fire trucks. The crews that arrived on the parked rigs got off with their protective gear and the tools they needed and would have performed the tasks assigned to them by the incident commander.
