    • @Broomer52
      @Broomer52 ปีที่แล้ว +275

      Kratos here is holding back so much. What he does in this game is nothing compared to what he’s truly capable of. The original games are Kratos at full power and it’s terrifying. He still has his natural born godly abilities but the magic of his home land is gone. In the original games it’s canon that the magic he learns in his travels he never forgets or loses but for gameplay reasons he only uses that games newly acquired magic. With that said Kratos with his own natural power plus his magic would make him a God among Gods.
      It would include his mild Pyromancer abilities he still currently has, strength so great he can lift the weight of the world, the ability to heal from any injury given time. All the magic would include: Bending Time like Heimdall does, controlling water, summoning spectral Spartans, reigning down Fiery Spectral Spears, Lighting, Ripping souls out of peoples bodies, raising the dead and probably a few more I forgot. Thank god Kratos no longer has his old magic tricks

      I think Kratos(unintentionally) did what Thor did. Where he says ‘look into my eyes and find out if I’m lying’ Kratos gave a glimpse to Heimdall on different ways he can kill him. And Heimdall calls Thor sick whereas Kratos is called a monster.

      The reason the spear is the best chance is because it removes Heimdall's ability of foresight. However, this ability was not enough to win the fight in its entirety. Heimdall heavily relied on his foresight, much to the point of lacking any actual fighting capability. Even without the spear, Kratos outspeeds Heimdall and would have won the fight through skill alone, although the spear does remove Heimdall's only advantage in the entire fight.
      TL;DR: Heimdall relies too much on his foresight and would lose the fight due to sheer skill disparity between him and Kratos, the spear just gives Kratos an even larger advantage than what he already had.

      My favorite part is the first three times you get the quick time event against Heimdall you can actually see Kratos figuring out how to beat him. First exchange is a set of blows that don't impact and do nothing. Second one repeats the process but adds in an extra attack that forces Heimdall to actually block instead of dodging. Third time Kratos baits Heimdall with repeating the same attack to trick him into blocking but shifts it instead to land the first punch. From that moment forward Kratos has his strategy figured out: distract and overwhelm Heimdall by hitting him with things he can't predict.

      Remember that he’s always holding back in the Norse games so that he doesn’t slip back to his old ways. This is him slowly letting out more and more of his Ghost of Sparta side to achieve victory, and at the end he has to go very close to the edge to beat Heimdall and finish him off. You can see how much that scares him at the end

But that’s how it works in God of War, Kratos always needs some extra thing to help him defeat his more powerful enemies, be it with Pandora’s box against Ares, the titans against the Greek pantheon, all the united realms against Asgard and here the Draupnir Spear against Heimdall.

    If you notice closely in the first three flurry of punches that kratos throws he's increasing the speed everytime just to see how he reacts and in the third one as Heimdal goes to block the last one kratos reads it holds his hand and lands the right hook
