  • In this video I will be doing a review on the Saviland glitter builder gel kit. Its an easy and cheap way of doing your own nails at home but we need to check it out. I was doing a coffin nail on forms, but it ended up more like a ballerina.
We are going to see what the kit contains and what the colours of the builder gel look like.

Thank you for reviewing these gels. I'm considering buying this kit from Amazon.

You are very welcome 🥰 My only dislike with Saviland are their lack of instructions. They told me their gels need a lamp OVER 36 W to cure. Another lady that commented said they didnt cure at 36. So just make sure your lamp is strong enough so you dont waste your money ❤

@@OhNoNails I have a 48W nail lamp so I hope that's good enough. I'll probably try their acrylic first and then their gels. Thank you for letting me know.

New subscriber thanks for the quick tips, I’m a new nail tech so I’m asking everyone what forms they prefer as a general “all shape” butterfly style or other nail form? If you see this Thanks for the Quick, To the Point video🎉

Thanks hun xx I usually gravitate towards the longer butterfly forms. First of all there is a bigger sticky surface often (people fidget lol). You can always cut them shorter if you want to. And just by tilting the form or how much you pinch it you should be able to cover most shapes including biters if you tailor them.
Thats just my personal preferance though. When I started out I bought forms for every shape. i realised the butterfly worked best for me in most cases.
Good luck with the forms, hope you find the one that works best for you and your clients ❤

@@OhNoNails thanks that’s what I thought gloom. I know what doesn’t work but I also knew that. By closing /. Tilting forms I didn’t need to have every type .. I’m glade I ordered the butterfly because the ones I have are getting on my nerves. Just one more question if I may have you tried the Builder in a Bottle? I have only used YN potted gels/ tubes - I was fortunate in that I was able to get acrylics down after I learned gels and was trained by one of the best in the business BUT I am building a gel service business or at most hybrid so I thought I’d ask your opinion - if you have one on the BiAB

Sorry hun, no magic solution to the forms question xx
And yes I have a few opinions on buib, if we assume we are talking soak off since most are.
Theyre great for quick encapsulting french designs on nails with other soak off products, lightweight, often nice colors, great for a quick repair of corners/short extensions on careful clients. So I will happily use them for that.. and they file off super fast.
Downside..on anyone that isnt very careful they can wear and chip alot. Ive changed most of my short gel overlays back to hard gel again. Some of my ladies come every 3 to 4 weeks for whatever reasons although I wish they were more frequent. When they tried buib they had broken nails, chips etc and it often ended up with removal and new set. Hard gel I file down, rebalance, col change etc and the nails they come in with have minimal damage despite long wear.
So mostly I opt for hard gel when I can.I cant deal with all the hassle. I dont want to sound horrible but most of my clients want their nails done in 15 mins, at the lowest possible cost and some do nothing to take even a little care of their nails.
But I still have the soak off as an option, for the very few who take care of their nails and come more frequently and like the feel of a more flexible gel. Extremely flexible nails can do well with a Rubber base under a hard gel too..
I wouldnt invest a fortune to start with in buib, perhaps one or two clear. But if they insist and dont look after them, then a hard builder is the way to go. If you're a gel tech you are used to filing anyways.
So this was an extremely honest opinion 😅 Nothing wrong with buib, but the way clients treat their nails will prevent me offering it 🙈 But it might work out well for you... me not so much unfortunately xx

I’m not great with forms. Could I glue on tips and do hard gel over the tips? Would that last? My nails are brittle and I worry about lifting. I’m in a nail crisis here. (Also sorry if you answered any of these in the video, I’m commenting before watching)

Hi! It varies a little, but if you're thinking about purchasing separately you can try these search forms 😚
      Gold nail forms
      Gold nail extension form
      Nail extension guide
      Gold sculpting forms
If you're buying them off Amazon I would look at the reviews to see if they have alot of complaints about the tackiness 💞 Personally I use the stiletto butterfly ones, or square mostly. I dont like them too thick. And if they are clear, thats a bonus 😊

I was utterly aggregated with mine... That gel is so runny... Why?!😒
