The creamers, in case you’ve never had them, originated in Syracuse, NY are “new”, creamer, small potatoes cooked/boiled in a brine. AWESOME. Great side/accompaniment to many dishes (especially clams). 4# creamers, 1 1/2 cup, water to cover. Boil til tender, dunk in your favorite melted butter. OMG! Super YUM!
Thanks for sharing. Sometime the old equipment will work when needed. I'm not sure about potatoes production. Hope you well bring us along when your up and running. Be interesting to see everything come together..
@BellsFarming Hope things all run without a hitch. Hope this is a bountiful Corp for you? Seeing the little potatoes. Made me hungry for potatoes soup. Sure wish you could share a recipe for that?? 🤣. But anyway Good Luck... and can't wait to see the progress.. Thank you.
Good that you were able to pull some older equipment back into service without too many issues. I did think for a second when you said bringing the old potato washer out of retirement I immediately thought of Shane with a bucket of water scrubbing potato's haha.
Way to go with the leg extensions . Enjoy watching the process develop , you are getting it done for sure . Did you change out the bearings or just grease them up since this was a short term operation .
So how many acres are there and how many devoted to potatoes? It seems to be the main enterprise? Small potatoes are the in thing here. I live not far from a seed potato industry in Australia but small growers here are in decline and cannot compete with large farms growing them under centre pivot irrigation on sand hills in western Victoria. A lot less washing. Great vlog. Camera work was very good and well edited. Thanks
Hey there, we farm around 500 acres. We harvested around 150 this year! Our small potatos are probably the hardest thing for us to sell, funny how that is. Thank you for watching!
Molly Shane is a very lucky man having a wife as beautiful as you and knows how to turn a wrench and operate a ratchet wrench is like hitting the wife lottery!
We have a new one being made currently, this old one definitely gets the job done. It’s just not as easy to clean a new doesn’t sort out rocks. Thank you for watching
I am using videoProc Vlogger it is a free software. I barely know how to use it hahah so thank you! I’m glad it looks like I know what I’m doing lol. What are you using?
I enjoyed this video very much. I have always worked on the dairy end of agriculture and look forward to learning about your part of the puzzle. Do your potatoes go out of state?
Our potatoes go the the market basket warehouse in Massachusetts, they are distributed from there. If there is a market basket near you there is a chance they would be our potatoes!
Yes! Haha I named the carrousel Charlie, sometime he will bite my finger. Hahah if you get pinched you have to hit the release valve to open the clamping jaws, there is no pulling your finder out. Thanks for watching!
Yeah we end up having ours for about the same time. Little longer. Usually we try not to run out until we can start digging out new crop, for our local restaurants. Fine line there. Thank you for watching

When I was younger we had the potato water and we had a dryer system, it was never cold in our package shed…
I wish it was just a little warmer in ours. 60 would be perfect!
Hard working crew..😀😀😀
Sometimes it pays to hang onto the old stuff for a while lol thanks for sharing god bless all farmers
Yeah it’s a good thing they keep everything hahah, thanks for watching!
I love those little potatoes. I wish I was there I would buy a whole bunch of them.
So you are one of the people I was talking about loving those potatoes! Thanks for watching!
When I was a produce manager I sold a lot of B size in the stores I worked. Very rural area. I prefer them myself for everything except baking
Another very interesting video on commercial potato farming/processing. I'm anxious to see the washer work.
We bag potatoes all winter long, so I will try and keep it interesting! Thank you again for watching!
Great video Molly and Shane

Hahahaha I think it would have been better scrubbing them lol
New is cool to...😊
We are actually getting a new replacement built currently. It should be a nice upgrade!
Nice job, great video moll. Enjoy seeing the family work together.
Thanks Rob!
Don’t know if your bagged potatoes would make it to South Louisiana but thanks for what you all do to help feed the American people!
Hey there, I think our potatoes are mostly in the New England area. Thank you for watching and the support you give to farmers!
Great Job. Be happy & Keep Smiling .❤❤❤

Good to hear that...thanks Molly.😊
Molly you're like Sigourney Weaver in Aliens
The forklift scene
Thank you for watching! And taking the time to comment! Being like Sigourney is a great compliment!
Just curious if you guys supply potatoes down here, to Cape Cod Potato Chips?
No we don’t. Thank you for watching!
Great video, your editing looks really good. What are you using for editing software? I'm always curious what other people use.

@@jeffreysmith7210 no actually, I was a country girl. But nothing to do with agriculture.
How is the weather today in the great state today?@@BellsFarming
@@jeffreysmith7210 it wasn’t to mad, not a lot of sun, but I think it was almost 50. Tomorrow should be sunny
The old potato washer out of retirement. Hmmm…. What’s her name?
Ha! well she do any have a name currently. I’ll try and think of one. Haha
Good afternoon hello 👋🏾 how you doing your still working with potatoes plants and manufacturing products?
Hey there, yeah we will be bagging potatoes all winter long! Thanks for watching :)
Is there a place to pinch your fingers when you’re hanging bags on the bagger
Yes! Haha I named the carrousel Charlie, sometime he will bite my finger. Hahah if you get pinched you have to hit the release valve to open the clamping jaws, there is no pulling your finder out. Thanks for watching!
How many tons of potatoes do you harvest in a year ?
Roughly 2700 tons is around 5,400,000. Pounds
@@BellsFarming thanks for replying
Nice videos
If you did OF ,you wouldnt have to deal with potatoes
I like farming, I take a lot of pride in what we do.
All the beta simps that pay for it is what is wrong with our country !
We store ours for about 9 months then Simplot hauls them off, nic insight into what you have to do
