Living History with Jan Sittel

The Sixth Floor Museum welcomed Dallas Love Field spectator Jan Sittel for one of its Friday Living History Programs. A junior at Thomas Jefferson High School in Dallas, Sittel shook hands with the Kennedys and the Johnsons along the fence line shortly after Air Force One landed in Dallas. Sittel later donated to the Museum her cardboard welcome sign from Love Field, which is featured in the special “Two Days in Texas” exhibition. The program, moderated by Curator Stephen Fagin, took place at the Museum on March 22, 2024.
