2:10 if you get the shuttle weren’t you waiting at the half way station for a space? There were loads waiting there when we went past and no space for them to get in.
Nice video ❤. I learned to ski there in 2011. We said we would never go back after going to France and places. But this year I went back on a lads trip. There was 5 of us. We had a real good time and I’d happily go back. A lot has changed since I first visited 😅. I have a 3 year old daughter I want to get on skis asap. I might look at booking there with the family.
I would recommend it your young children because 121 tuition is cheap, and it isn’t a massive ski area. I took my boy at 3 for the first time. There’s also an English nanny out there so Borovets is ideal for this 😀
Samakov is half the price of the rila. So if you’re on a budget, like myself it’s a no brainier. Obviously you’ve got the money to stay elsewhere, lucky you.
Yeh we stayed there earlier this year. It’s like walking into Russia 50 years ago. Beds weren’t the best and our door wouldn’t lock half of the time. But it was alright, cheap and I’d stay there again.
I think it was 80 lev per child for two hours (around £35 for a 2 hour private lesson) when you book it let us know and we will let you know the English ski instructors x

Nope, we got straight on. I can’t believe we spend 1 hour queuing at the gondola on the First day!
We have been twice and stayed at the Rila. It is a fantastic option for your first family ski holiday.
Yes rila is fab for young kids, we have been there 3
Did you hire your ski equipment etc from the hotel itself? (If you didn’t take your own of course)
Do you recommend buying ski passes and organising equipment hire prior to travelling or do you tend to wait until you’re there to get them?
Nope, because you don’t know how you’d feel on the day. Buy as you go … also discounts for parents on 2 day lift passes.

Yea its cheap as chips staying in anywhere apart from borovets, like 25 quid a night
Great video! We have talked about going to Bulgaria next year to teach the kids to ski. What was the cost like for the private lessons? 🫶
