Another historical Yowie Sighting between Emu Plains and Glenbrook, New South Wales. A name place that is now familiar and associated with the term ‘Yowie’, according to AYR records.
Two Rabbit hunters enter private property of a person unknown, and ask permission to hunt on his land.
A series of events ensue, which includes a memory that will never fade……
A leading statement from the property owner, warrants the question …. Was he already aware…..?

Thank you so much for these encounter stories. They are so much different than the American stories that seem so wild and crazy.
All these stories are just people going about their day, and meeting a yowie by happenstance.

Yeah, you would have to be a very cynical person to believe otherwise. Unfortunately, people are brought up employing the scientific method to everyday life, treating anything and everything like some science experiment. It is like people are scared to speculate about such things because they are terrified of being seen as unscientific.

You guys do a bit around my area, a little further out from where I had a creepy encounter. Up in the hills of Tallebudgera. Bass fishing and hiking. The bush went silent. I felt something watching me. It threw a huge boulder into the creek about 40 meters up. Enough for me to put my hands up, turn around and head back down. I'm guessing they were drinking or washing. No houses or people up there for a long way. I've heard stories of fish being taken, I've found fish frames on the bank. I was thinking of taking them up a bag of apples 🍎. They're not violent but very territorial.

I had an encounter about a month or 2 ago on mount portal. So I do the casual solo hike from Leonnay to the narrows (where glenbrook George meets Nepean river) and I was hiking down mount portal the back way where you climb down this gap in the cliff and I heard this sound it sounded like the reign deer from the polar express. That went on for 2-3 seconds then right after there was a massive bang and the ground shook underneath me. I was still in the thicker bush but ran out of their into more open bush. I didn’t see anything but had the feeling of being watched so I put my hands up and said ok ok I’m leaving and paced down to the bottom of the George and then ran back to Leonay. I still don’t know if that was an encounter but it damn felt like it.

I have photos of a spot I've been visiting near me that I captured faces peeking around trees and when I show people the first response is 'that's a dog. Another person said 'looks like a husky'. My dog always comes with me and she doesn't get scared or take off in fright, she just stops then comes back to me before going in another direction, almost urging me to follow. They seem to be the smaller ones and the footprints are wider than mine but near the same length (size9) but always 20mm deep or more. I've stomped where I see them and don't even come close to leaving a deep impression.

It's a shame we must go down the same road as the U S, with "Dogman". Two absolutely different species given the same name?! Yowies come in very different subspecies, but you surely can't call either "Dogman" a subspecies ? All except the doglegged species are obviously Hominin. The doglegged, wide shouldered, narrow waisted, pointy eared, long snouted, big fanged fellow with a bushy tail and hands is an arboreal primate, ancestral lineage debatable. But historically in many parts of the world known as a "Werewolf", or similar. The other "Dogman" is most decidedly a Hominin, with a prognathic face. People of this disposition are I believe found on most of the continents. But can we call them Yowies ?!

Very cool story, he had it cornered. Must have been a juve for sure and frightened but doesn’t mean it can’t mess you up

Im laughing in excitement, what an experience. Just like Aussie birds nests, up high or in a bush with prickles all around it. Sounds like a place they are born..young yowie..maybe..

Might that creature, been a Young Dogman?

interesting you should mention that. I have heard of reports where large dog tracks have been found - prints way too big for the normal K9. There is a guy who has been attempting to capture Yowies with hidden cameras. One of his adventures caught what could only be described as the head of a dog that appears to be standing up between some bushes but is too far away from the camera to get an accurate description. Check out Dogman Encounters Radio on TH-cam. Some graphic reports from that site.

Hi. I’m in Blaxland. The track leading from Sun Valley produce called Rosenthal Lane and runs along Valley Heights Creek definitely has a Yowie or black panther. I found a carcass of a wallaby just off the track which had the bottom half of it it broken off from the top half and all the organs were on the ground. I noticed there were no flies so I got the hell out of there. A friend told me that she was riding a horse through there and her dog ran ahead chasing a rabbit, next thing it comes flying past her yelping.

Funny how he'd get aggressive about being told about something he obviously knew about. You'd think one would like to share in their experience, not shut down and refuse to acknowledge it. Denial is a hell of a drug I suppose.

Dog faced thing ruffly 5 to 6 foot in the middle of the night staring us down while camping in blue gum forest between MT Vic and Blackheath. Go back to the tent to grab a mate he goes "no way if your scared I'm not going out there" go back with a torch and nothing there, not a tree stump, not a kangaroo, not nothing.

Flexing you different facial muscles can change your look a little bit. I can move my ears. So it sounds to me like she may be able to move her ears forward to become more prominent in a forward look.
