Hey Sandra thanks for the great content! I'm in a respected bootcamp but I feel like it's not teaching me enough in depth skills for me to become an analyst. Can you recommend some labs / projects that looks good on a resume when applying to entry level analyst roles?
Hi Sandra, I’m currently working as IT support. I passed my security plus last month. What basic skills should i learn to get a entry level security jobs out there without experience? What home labs do you recommend to do to have hand on experience?
Do I need to have a IT background to help aid me in having a career in Cybersecurity? I’m currently working as a special police officer and recently became very interested in the field.
Having a Masters is already higher education than most cybersecurity professionals that I know so I'd say yes. I'd still get a cert like the Sec+ just to round out your resume and get through any HR screenings that require candidates to have a cert. This should be an easy win for you since it's likely material you've already covered in your MS degree! Either way, it sounds like you're in a great spot. Best of luck and keep us updated with your progress! :)
Do I need a degree to become a cyber Analyst? I want to switch careers and have no experience at all in tech but want to dive in cybersecurity. Any feedback would help me
Dubious, I work in InfoSec and have helped train SOCs from many different companies....nobody pronounces it S.O.C Analyst, just say it like the thing between your foot and shoe please 😂 Sorry it really irked me. But accurate intro into what an analyst's day to day is like, get ready to be a data junkie until you move up tiers and get to do the fun stuff.
That's a weird complaint I've never seen before loool...but anyways a lot of people talk with their hands, including myself...If that really bothers you though, all you have to do is just listen to her speak without watching her lol

Look up “How to get cybersecurity experience with no job” there are some videos with labs in them.
Hi I am also in IT Support planning for doing Security+ certification, did you get job?
Hey Sandra, awesome breakdown on SOC Security Analyst. Thank you!
Awesome tips! Thank you for sharing :D
def going after the sec+ this summer, whats your fav resource sandra?
What is the difference between soc vs cyber security analyst
they are the same thing. soc just means security operations center
On LinkedIn, most jobs I have applied for, especially entry-level get lots of people applying. 6 months no job yet. =/
In industry, most people refer to it as the "sock"

I’m currently working as a special police officer and recently became very interested in the field.
no but it would help a lot
a little Grammer correction on the headline, use A instead of An. 🙂
Di you offer trainings
Hey idk if this is allowed but, are ppl seeing soc 1 positions in the Seattle area????
Suggest me a fyp in my bachelor's degree in SOC analyst field?
Why don't you just say SOCK? SOC analysts do NOT configure security tools. They review alerts and report. Security engineers configure.
Could you make a video? How can someone get into the entre level of Threat Intelligence Analyst? Thanks Great video!
i have a degree in computer science and im getting my masters in cybersecurity, will that be enough for a SOC position?

About the salary
Hey Sandra!🙂
What was your first job in cybersecurity ?
GOOD.😁

Yo, are them plants real?
These are some of the first jobs AI is coming for
Not true, AI cant be trusted with this. There are still plenty of tech jobs where AI cant be trusted.
giiirrlll why are you talking so fast in all of your videos T____T
Please go little slow with your words
Thought it was called a "Sock Analyst". never heard anyone else say each letter b4🤔
I wanted to watch your video. But you through your hands in the air so much that it is very disruptive. Please control your habd movements. 😅😅😅😅
