Thrown together bike that’s sicker then 99% of other ones! 😂 Really dig the walk around and breakdown of parts, awesome work man! Can’t wait to see the fxdx one as well!
As someone who's had a 86 fxr since I was 14. Keep the low rider, I love my fxr and would never trade or sell it. However, a FXDXT is what I'll have next for sure.
That dash is beautiful. I also like to mismatch parts and colors because it keeps things interesting. You always have a great eye for style man. The doberman bike will forever be one of my favorites.
Thanks. Literally everything on this bike I had sitting on a shelf. It turned out nice but sometimes bikes made from leftover parts are my favorite. I don’t have to worry about everything matching and being perfect.
I love your FXR build. Maybe a parts bin bike, but one of the nicest I’ve ever seen. Looking for a beater FXR to build on my own style too. Good job man
Bitchin bike bro. I’ve been a fan of your work for a few years now. I’m an evo guy so this bike is right up my alley. Love it. Great job on it. Love the built with what you have theme. Fits evo’s 🔥
It does okay - it really depends on the height ratio between rider and fairing as if the fairing is too low, rider gets air blasted to their face or if it's a hair low, there could be buffeting. Fairings are one of those things where it requires trial and error (next to looks)
Hi, I have a set of rear shocks like yours. Where did you say are some guys that can service and set them for my bike and my weight? Thanks in advance for the info. Nice build.
It’s hard to say. So many other factors at play (motor mounts, bearing condition, tires etc) I think when you have a longer front end it probably helps, the one I am running is very thin, so I don’t have the most confidence in it, the HD screaming eagle one, on the other hand is much more solid and fells like it would eliminate flex.
Hey, I have a 85' FXR and due to a fused left wrist and painful AF tennis elbow, I'm having a hard time riding because the clutch is really hard to pull in. Think it may even have some kind of aftermarket/stronger clutch. Any suggestions on what I could do to make it pull in much easier without compressing too much? Thanks
Rivera or American prime make a “pro-clutch” they are very easy to pull due to the diaphragm spring. I would recommend that to start. Someone also make a lever mount e-z pull system. That would help alot
Nice bike. Can you tell me which backing plate you used with the mikuni? I have a 103" evo and im not sure what bracket will because of the taller cylinders.
I have a 87 with a 89 inch stroker kit dark horse lower end and a voo doo cam SS carb dyna single fire Ignition super trap pipe very very fun motor not a monster but very happy was talked out of using a 111 SS crate motor what do you think thank you
Sounds like a fun set up. The 111 are good but they are also kind of a mild combination. You could always go wilder. There is no replacement for displacement as they say, but then you know, it’s never ending.. I’m sure your setup is plenty, and reliable.
this bike is tuff !!!! i just picked up a 1984 1/2 fxrs .. its totally stock !! im gonna build it from the ground up. any tips would be amazing. i know parts are hard as fvck to get.
Actually, no. Speaking about the tank, he said that he always liked the black and orange. Then he said that he thought that this color pinstripe was a very nice contrast to it.
Finally, a biker and his bad ass bike. Refreshing break from all the goofy dynabros, their gay knit gloves, farmer shirts (flannel), and their "bolt-on' customs. The Laidlaw minions. Bikers will live forever. Dynabros... here today; gone soon. Great build.
Casual build turns out to be a badass ripper
Thanks. Sometimes the best ones just build themselves from spare parts.
Appreciate the walkaround of this rad fxr. Killer combo of parts. The end result is super stylish and clearly a ripper.
Thanks! I plan on doing more walk around on some of the other bikes as well so stay tuned
That’s a great set up.👍
Thrown together bike that’s sicker then 99% of other ones! 😂 Really dig the walk around and breakdown of parts, awesome work man! Can’t wait to see the fxdx one as well!
Thanks! Lots more to come!!
Dope ass Fxr Oliver
I Love your approach to bike building ❤

That's such a rad fxr🤘🛵
Them fender struts thou !

I feel the same way about the Thunderheader! Great build
Thanks!
Thank you for the walk through on that bike. 🙏
Our pleasure!
Hands down one of the coolest fxr builds I have seen, the pin striping, thunder stars and quarter fairing make this bike, killer job man!
Thank you. It’s a fun one
Love the contrast of the alu Sportster bars, awesome build mate. Thanks for sharing.
Glad you like them!
I got Fxlrs, but deep in my heart, I know I want performance Fxr
Careful what you wish for. These are great but a new FXLRS is hard to beat!! Just sayin

I think all those parts work perfectly together. It’s a time period correct 1993 hot rod.
Very Impressive Looking Bike ,Very Good Job Brother.
Thanks again!
Idk about thrown together that thing is clean af . Awesome fxr 🙌🏻
Thanks. Literally everything on this bike I had sitting on a shelf. It turned out nice but sometimes bikes made from leftover parts are my favorite. I don’t have to worry about everything matching and being perfect.

i just had a zippers 107 motor laying around. Must be nice LOL!! Great bike man. It is a tough looking bike.
I love it!
Badass, very well done.
Thank you! Cheers!
Sick build!
Thanks
The console is awesome!
Thank you
those wheels are dope.
Thanks!
Very clean
Appreciate it
What size rear shocks are on there? Love the stance. Great build.
13.5”
I wish i had that kind of parts pile😂
Start collecting.
Kinda how I dress nothing matches but looks like it goes together 🤷♂️🤣. Killer build 👌🏻🔥🔥🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Thanks I appreciate it!
Does that HD fairing provide decent wind protection. I just need something that looks good and helps a bit with wind at high speeds.
It does okay - it really depends on the height ratio between rider and fairing as if the fairing is too low, rider gets air blasted to their face or if it's a hair low, there could be buffeting. Fairings are one of those things where it requires trial and error (next to looks)
@ thanks Oliver. I just purchased an HD one on eBay for a lot less than HD charges but still not cheap. Crazy how expensive these are.
Thanks for the walkaround! Do those Indian Gilroy coil covers bolt right up on the FXR?
The hole spacing is the same but I had to trim it a little for my particular set up
I’d love to find a pair of those pro racers for my 94 FXR. I’m in OC so let me know if you have any leads on some.
They are hard to find, but sometimes they pop up. Just gotta keep looking

Look up @qualityshockservice on IG
The details my man.

Very nice great job😅 I have a 03 Night Train with a Zippers 107 Muscle Kit and a D D Fat Cat Take Care 🙂
What are your thoughts on that front fork brace piece?
Can you tell that it really makes a difference in faster cornering?
Thanks
It’s hard to say. Rookie question but what are the blue switches on top of the cylinders by the spark plugs for?
They are compression releases. Let’s the engine spin over a few times before starting.

@@thecutrate1 Thanks much, I'll do that.
Nice bike. Can you tell me which backing plate you used with the mikuni? I have a 103" evo and im not sure what bracket will because of the taller cylinders.
Mine is adjustable for that very reason. Try zippers performance they sell one.
@@thecutrate1 ok thanks for the info.
Such a great bike. Very cool. I enjoyed the video man. I gotta ask…did you design that hat? It’s a cool fit
I have these custom made from vintage HD bandannas. Find me on IG I should have a new back in the next month.

OUT STANDING ! Very nice build, it must rip being a 107 EVO, what is the name of your shop and where are you located ?
Thanks. I work out of long beach CA.

That bike is awesome and the motor, has the best components, STD and Axtell best cylinders out there, too bad they both disapeared.
its great!!!)))
Thank you
Did he say black and orange pinstriping?
Actually, no. Speaking about the tank, he said that he always liked the black and orange. Then he said that he thought that this color pinstripe was a very nice contrast to it.
Bad ass!
💪🏼💪🏼
Are you located in Long Beach
Yup
Do you have a shop and if so do you/ can you re wire a bike
I have a private shop, not open to the public. I can’t take on any new work right now, I’m building for a show coming up. Sorry.
Jesus you got some nice shit for just laying around in your shop!
Thanks. I spent a lot of time on the road and a lot of money at swap meets to get it. 💪🏼

Sorry, 20 year career bike mechanic, I can't help but point out your right side fork seal is leaking. Nice hog!
Thanks. Yeah it’s since been replaced!

If that runs like a 124, the 124 ran like shit lol
An out of the box s&S 124” makes the same as this built 107”. So yeah about the same. A built 124 is another story.
The button to start the bike is perfect! What company is it??! Loved the video! Looking forward to the next! Thank you ~@mj_ shenanigans
Arlen ness! It’s older but yeah a simple clean one!
