I loved the flag little quilt club quilt, it is so adorable and so fun to make. I cut my strips a little larger and trimmed down to the 3/4" for each strip I sewed on. It took a bit longer, but the results made the strips and flag measurement perfect.
I lived in southern California when I was little, I remember my Mom stopping at strawberry booths along the side of the road and getting strawberries. There was a strawberry field along side the school and the farmers would give us kids strawberries as we walked to the library. I don't think I have ever had a better tasting strawberries. Funny how the memory of the taste has lasted for years and years.

I needed to hear Edyta talk about seam allowances today! I made a block for Quilts of Valor last night, and it is 1/4" too small. It was my first block, and I am going to try again and measure my units as I work.

That always happened to me. I now use a scant quarter inch seam and that solved the problem. Practice on scrap fabric and see if that helps. 😊

That’s the best way to assure your 1/4 inch is accurate! It allows you to notice right away any adjustments before you complete your block. Good luck🧵😍
