  • ** After taping up some bags, found a few that even I couldn't tape! Haha So we are on our way down to pick some up and move them into bins.
    ** We also quickly realized that they are NOT picking up well, and the reason why is due to they are just barely dry from harvest. Also the they are chickpeas which means, they won't go away with out a challenge 🤣🤦‍♂️

    I figured it out. Mike is really an undercover agent for the grain bin industry. His job is make grain bags look like a pain in the ass. You got me convinced.

      @999pr1 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I was thinking the same thing. Bins are expensive up front, but last years and I would sure rather sweep out a few bins than do this all day. Also, what happens to the plastic? is that just waste material when it's done or does it get recycled? Most of a bin can be recycled when it is at the end of it's life cycle.

    • @TheGuruStud
      @TheGuruStud 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@999pr1 Cheaper than paying taxes and selling for low prices (aka break even maybe). We built a ton of bins just to store until prices raise. It can just sit all year. Ours has to be dried, anyway. It can still be a jungle come harvest.

    Mike the best thing I have found in 15 years using wabasto engine heaters is to set a timer for once per week all year for 30 min. It keeps the pump working and ignition system from catering up.

      You are exactly right, worked on many on semi tractors, more often used, way more reliable. If Webaso not used in summer, had to take apart & fix burner issues, not fun. They are a very high maintenance cost of ownership, when work are great, but constant maintenance is required.

    Been working as a Case dealer tech for 5yrs and farm mechanic 5yrs prior to that. The only equipment windows ive come across that are “laminated” seem to be swather/chopper/combine cab curved windows (front-rear) they’ll break but not fall out/apart just like your car/pickup. I have yet to come across a Tractor with factory laminated windshield/rear. And I have replaced many a door/window. An option if youre still afraid would be to have window tint applied to the windshield either in a dark film or clear solar/heat rejection film that’ll prevent it from completely falling apart but the window would still have to be replaced immediately due to the tempered glass shattering throughout the window. Just my 2 ¢

    I am a Webasto engineer...acutally those things are validated to last several thousands of burning hours.
    Maybe they are locked because your battery was low?
    And it is not good to let them rest half a year. Switch them on from time to time in the spring/summer...it makes them last longer.
