Ma'am a special request, being an engineer facing the problem as you said can you please arrange a session on confidence, grooming etc.this is the situation faced by majority of youth.can you please consider this.
This was a very good episode. It is true that most of the graduates passing out today are not employable. In today's India, there are tremendous opportunities for youngsters. But the job market is also very brutal. Employers look at CVs for few seconds before deciding whether to go forward with the interview process or not. In the interview too, if you come across as a quiet and reluctant person with no confidence, they'll reject you immediately. Therefore it is important to develop good communication, soft skills, empathy, imagination and creativity among young people. Academics will take care of itself but people with the aforementioned skills are going to be successful in future. Best of luck to everyone!
Yes profile building is the key even abroad, that's what each students needs to understand when you select foreign country “how you can build your profile where you live” & “how soon“?Especially the kids of that country will be already have build their profile and after the course you're going to compete with them in the workforce✌️✌️
Kids from overseas do start 3-4 hrs/week part time jobs from 15/16yrs of age at different fields , whether it's at food /textile/trading.1st year degree itself they are equipped to start 20hrs week in their field of choice or study.
What I face is the same issue, but I want all this to be along with the academics rather than after the academic period. Students should contact with the professor/teacher through emails not through Whatsapp. Every communication should be in a professional way.
The interview is top-notch !! However, highly disappointed with one thread she said about PhD scholars giving a very basic intro, I come from a PhD fraternity So I can totally comment on this thread. I don’t personally think that any of the PhD’s will start their about profiles like how she have mentioned. We come across different presentations and we even collaborate and communicate with people across the world. So can’t expect any PhD’s to talk so raw.
She’s talking about the importance of communication skills, body language etc, but the tone of her voice , facial expressions , gestures everything seems arrogant.. Agree with most of her points but why she’s raising her voice and losing her cool while talking about student’s attitude? A counsellor should be good enough to control all these while dealing with students or while in an interview in public platforms.. not every parent and students get the privilege of gaining knowledge about grooming and career guidance and not everyone are with innate confidence.. every student is different, every family is different.. May be her main clients are teenagers from different backgrounds who are just turning into an adult age and they get lot of knowledge from google, friends, well wishes and sometimes inspiring movies and they lack clarity and confused at some point of time before making decisions.. counselling is not about making fun of student’s current way of thinking patterns, communication, attitude and then giving advice and correcting them.. but to maintain a good attitude and understanding throughout the way she projects her profession also.. she lacks that.. this episode is purely tension building .. The first two parts were really inspiring and was waiting for 3rd.. but this spoiled the whole interview !!
I think it lacks some points. I agree that our education system doesnt help to build the confidence or skills to present ourselves. But that is a huge lack of our education system. There are plenty of kids who does better in all the subjects. So your idea of elimination might not work in that case. There are a lot of examples of people who goofed off during some part of schooling and only got serious and build their skills when they absolutely had to or needed to. Your process of elimination doesnt take into account them either. Lastly everyone deserves a chance. Or 2 or 3 or how many ever.
And no, I would not take my kids to someone like her. I want to take them to believe in my kids and help them to believe in themselves and not to show them what they are incapable of doing.
mostly that student watched hey sinamika movie, in that aditi rao 's character had this job of Paleotempestologist, i too googled it at that time wondering what is it about 😁
I have a very different point of view about this interview. When I watched the second part, I thought she has a point. But 3rd part she sounds very arrogant. Why she is blaming an individual looking them down in grass root level? Not everyone's situation is same or privileged enough to get groomed the way she says. The education system is at fault. It would be better if you sit down with an individual and direct them to the right path and explain how to improve themselves. Seeing this interview, I wouldn't suggest anyone to go to her just because she lacks humanity and kindness. I cant imagine how she treat people in person if she is this arrogant in a public platform. I always appreciated Dhanya's works and interviews. But this one, I am not sure why Dhanya went on agreeing with whatever she said. Having said that, I hope 4th part will have something better for me to keep my disappointment aside and satisfy my doubts that occurred with this interview.
most of the skills she talked about is something that a person themselves need to build. no one is going to come behind you to groom you. utilise the free resources available and the opportunities you get to the fullest. communication, leadership and basic etiquettes are somethings everyone can work on their own. moreover she was explaining the reality of individuals these days and not being arrogant. so what u require is people spoon-feeding you each and every little thing and creating a bunch of useless individuals who can't rely on themselves for anything huh?
I felt the same way @belconwy1 she is just pushing her business in part 3 ..which many parents are going to take it seriously and gonna destroy their kids future
@@inside_out1112 Do you not know when to use the Capital letter after the full stop? I cant see a single capital letter in your comment. This is the basic writing skill that you could have developed yourself to make your comment look better than what it is now using your so called free resources. My point is dont generalise that everyone can do everything themselves. Sometimes people need a little reminder or a proper training that the education system doesn't provide. Moreover people go to her for help not for getting scrutinised taking blames for something they couldn't do/learn in the past. Being kind and helping fellow human, is it too much to ask for?
@@Toraconw i did not use them because i am using my laptop and its cumbersome to keep changing between caps and small letters.. you could've figured that out yourself. and people like these exist to offer help but there is a limit to everything. they can only guide you, you must take the effort. and the way you had to talk about me not using caps thinking you made a valid point is embarrassing tbh cuz that's the only point which crossed thru your head. fyi i'll type the way i want to. all i'm trying to say is that ms sreevidhya did not sound arrogant at all because she is describing the state of youngsters these days. there must be a reason why you got so offended.
Dear Dhanya , part 3 feels much different and not empathetic. Our students and youth improved a lot and they are good and wisdom twined and they are well aware of the world around us and i dont feel our youth is not opning their mouth to say their name at least. So dont blame in common to our youth and they are amazing than us. And oir youth never follow any cinema and follow them. And please dont be arrogant like this and very much sad feels while listening part 3. More than 80s or 90s our youth improved a lot dear dhanya. And see pls reminding you in cbse NEP as per our kids improved a lot. Oir education system itself is need to be imrpvoed a lot with SEL. And that imagery and simily of snake guard and its growth seems to be like a low level comparison. So sorry to say dear be Empathetic always ...
