      reliability wise the brand is known to not last as much as others. Me my brother and my teammates bought redragon mechanical keyboards years back and they just usually last about a year. IDK about today i have yet to buy again from them.

      @@jamescarlgonzales2789 hmm weird prob just your boards. I’ve had this old redragon board for around 2 years and it work perfectly fine. My cousin also has another redragon board that they’ve had for about 2 years and it works fine too for them. At the same time though, it honestly depends on the product/mode, itself and the user. I’m also pretty sure you have warranty on your redragon keyboard. They have a 2 year warranty if I’m not mistaken.

      @@ecryx2597 Lucky you for having that keyboard for a long time. Majority of our issue is the wasd eq and shift keys are the ones that usually are going bad thats why we decided to switch to tecware phantom rgb (hotswap feature) and replace the switches when it goes out. I've been using it for 3 years and i just sold it to upgrade to a higher brand. The switches die easily on the redragon and can't be replaced easily because of the non hotswappable feature it has. De soldering and soldering back ain't worth the time imo but you do get the mechanical keyboard experience on the cheap in which i'll give redragon credit for.

      I have several RedDragon products and honestly the quality is pretty good, especially given the price. However every single RedDragon keyboard I have owned has had INSANE backplate ping.. sounds awful to be honest. If it weren't for the ping I would have no complaints.

    • @aussierule
      @aussierule 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Seriously. I rarely have problems with computer accessories but one single day all hell broke loose lol. My naga died after 8 years right before raid time, so I swapped to a Corsair equivalent backup that a buddy gave me, only to trip and drop it. AND THEN accidentally kicked it across the room as I was trying to recover and not fall. I didn't fall but the mouse was destroyed lmao.
      So here I am NEEDING my 12 keys on the side as that's just how I've played MMOs since 2013 when I got my Naga, especially because we were raid progging and I main tank. Everything is hotkeyed with ctrl, alt, shift modifiers all on my mouse. So I went to Best Buy and bought the cheapest 12 key I could find which happened to be the Redragon until I could order another mouse online. Still haven't ordered it yet :) Only thing I'm missing is the scroll wheel flick left to right but other than that it gets the job done and I really like it. My wallet does too.

    I got myself the Pro version of this keyboard after I spilled coffee on my Logitech G512 Carbon. It was the only keyboard in stock at the store at the time and I thought I'd grab it an then buy another one later. I was instead pleasantly surprised. I'm very pleased with it. Red Dragon is criminally underrated and overlooked. I'm surprised how much I love this 60% size since I've only ever owned full boards. Honestly, I don't think I'll buy anything larger again. The Red Dragon software allowed me to set keybinds and colour to indicate which keybinds are active. I use the Colemak layout while my spouse uses QWERTY. It's nice that she can now sit down at my PC and instantly set the key binds to her layout. The great thing is if I connect to my iPad by Bluetooth, the keyboard remembers what the last profile it had active was. It doesn't instantly revert to a layout I'm uncomfortable with. Best $65 I've spent in a long time. Whenever this thing goes, I'll likely buy another.

    REDRAGON!!! My first mechanical keyboard! Their pricing are really good for people like me who is in the poverty side. I have their kala keyboard and cobra mouse, the keyboard in my experience is fine it fails from time to time where suddenly a key does not work (not very often), the mouse however I would not recommend (i had 3 and it died way too fast). Right now I am looking at Tecware vs Redragon since they are in the same price range.

    Just bought one yesterday. It sounds great, especially the stabs. Just needed foam underneath and lubing the switches because the spring ping drives me nuts. Bluetooth works like a charm, but if cannot be paired, just hold fn2+esc until rgb lighting blinks once and it will be discoverable. The software lets you see the lighting modes and tweak it to your taste. 8/10 despite being so cheap.

It's hot swappable and basically is the cheaper version of both variants. RGB is technically not true RGB but I'm loving it so far. What do you prefer, Redragon K530, GK61, or SK61?

    • @dhoffnun
      @dhoffnun 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not the reviewer, but I can tell you each has a hot-swap feature for different types of switches. The K530 will only accept Outemu / Redragon switches with the thinner pins, and has bluetooth. The SK61 will only accept optical switches in the style that Gateron currently makes. The GK61 will accept any standard mx-compatible switch, but not the optical ones or the Outemus with the fat, round pins (don't see those too often). There is a version of the GK61 called the GK61s that has bluetooth. Personally, I think the GK61s is the most versatile because it can take almost any mx style switch.

    • @ecryx2597
      @ecryx2597 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dhoffnun the gk61 actually has the same hot swappable feature as a sk61 (only gat optical). The SK61 is legit a gk61 except with a different name and different key caps. I think what your talking about is the gk61x which is a barebones kit that allows for any type of mx switch. Other than that good points.

    I got this keyboard from amazon about a month ago and it was broken as soon as I got it. The 2 key would type this, "fdjhghjkfdg0000077oooo." A couple weeks later, the 6 key wouldn't work. It typed, "fhghfhdhsssssss0000009." It was also annoying without the arrows, but that's just me. I ordered new switches and replaced the old switch with the new ones, still didn't work. It's a good keyboard for $65, though. I returned it, got my money back, and gave the keyboard back to amazon. Wouldn't recommend it.
