- yeah i kno....5 years too late lol but apparently it was INTENDED to b a single but was never released because the label decided to focused their attention for kanye's next album. well they completely finished the music video for it....they might as well should have released it as a single. but they didnt....oh well but this is 1 of my favorite tracks from this album.

Now he’s a signed a deal with Gap. Life has a way of bringing you full circle. Poetry in motion
Full. Fuckin’. Circle. The Universe is crazy!!
Them big facts
Literally came here because as soon as I saw he signed the deal this was the first thing I thought of.
Facts indeed.. True poetry! Whatever you put out always has a way to find you. Stay TRUE 🔥 Sh*ts "insane" right 😂
I found this because he tweeted about this video being on his website a couple days ago, came and found this version that's been here since '09 lmao
1.30am on a saturday night cleanup after cooking chicken at KFC for 11 hours straight was the time i first heard this song on an ipod i bought for $20. realised i was wasting my life at that hole. left that week. took up a sales job that only lasted 2 weeks then was on the street in a cold city, i realised my defeat in that month. that was one of the hardest times of my life, but i spun back and got up and did better for myself.
without this song i would have never had the courage to find better for myself.
thanks ye
temuera Pearse Good for you! Work hard and never give up and we can all make it. Cheers to taking risks and fighting for success.
Wow I enjoyed reading that so much man god bless
🙏🏼🙏🏼
where you at rn?
5 years later. I hope you doing good my g. Stay up.
I never knew he had a video for this track wow. I miss classic Kanye.
blame the new rap genre not kanye himself
@@YepsMr bruh wym, kanyes always trying new sounds, thats what makes kanye, well kanye
Now it’s on his website. Funny how things change so long afterwards
Is this real?
@@TizzTv yes its on his website
I use to bump this in my dead end retail job, school wasn’t for me, college drop out myself. Kanye is easily the best artist of my lifetime. Can’t wait to show my son his art
Not even just best artist. Best shoe/fashion designer too. I remember when he was a guest on Ellen and announced he was gonna become a fashion designer and the crowd literally cackled at him, like hard laughing. And he stared at them with a dead stare and I remember at the time I thought he was bored and/foolish looking for something to do but still hated how people treated him about it. But damn if he don't create things to existence. People treated him the exact same about rapping too. Saying stick to producing and making beats. He's been the underdog all his life and has some how whooped ass and become an actual A list celebrity. Like top shelf AAA+ celebrity. I know dudes mind has cracked over time from the fame, mother's death, divorce, etc but I still love the dude and have HUGE respect for the dude. He's an inspiration and underdog story
This song reminded me of when I used to work at Target and I'm a college dropout too. This song held me down through a lot of bullshit.
True

I think that's our anthem..lol. I swear this shit was pivotal for me.
The most underrated song in this album

Yep
2 words and school spirit
Worked at GAP when he was a teen now signed a deal with them and his billion dollar companies, if that's not motivation, then idk what is
To all the young early 20 year olds that decided to work up their way in life instead of school, this is our anthem!

I was 20 years old working graveyard shift as a security guard. This song made me cry the first time, but yet motivated so much. I am 34 now, thank you Kanye! We out here 😤🧑🏽🚀🚀

I'm 30 still on that security grind, i understand that man, i stuck with it I'm the supervisor of my own site, I keep it straight with people when the management ain't around, i know the check light so I don't expect you to be a superhero. stay safe man.

Drake owes Kanye everything. He paved the way for his sound.
@allu you can see where drake's inspiration actually comes from

people discredit kanye so much for how inspirational he is
@@fckmchngrl
Fr, but I think 808s especially influenced Drake and Kid Cudi don't get all the credit he deserves for writing for Ye.
But yeah, people always throwing shade on Kanye cause his later antics, but he's a fucking genius goin crazy in my eyes

Kanye isn't just the best artist for the last 25 years but also best shoe/fashion designer too. working at finish line in the mall in high school , bumping this shit in the back stacking shoes i couldnt afford. I get so dammmm emotional listening to this song. I graduated with an engineering degree and still play this song when i need to remember how far i have come and need inspiration . This song hits home.
That's amazing. Well done!
This lyrics is too real.
What in the entire fuck. This has been one of my favorite songs for 15 years and I ever knew there was a video. My 13 year old self woulda been trippin.
Who’s here after Kanye just tweeted he dropping the real video.
.... me🤦🏽♀️
I feel like he downloaded this specific one as the sound quality is exactly the same
k b he did lol
Scott Wardwell lmfao stg
I guess it was no secret or private
I honestly think this is one of Kanyes best songs, at least top 30. Im sure everyone has felt its energy and essence if you havent related to the lyrics. A feeling of anger & getting something off your chest. That singing kanye delivered was just lovely. It showcased kanyes sweet&smooth voice. The song is a realization that you are wasting your time. I think some people would need this song. it samples "distant lover" by marvin gaye, 1973, a song that also has a lovely essence and feeling. However thats just my opinon. Just had to get a little something off my chest.
This song is easily top 3 for me
Top 5 and a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ song imo
This is the Kanye I was raised on the old Kanye. I don't care what anyone say about Kanye now but he's still a legend in my eyes. Everybody goes tru real shit & no one is perfect but no one should judge that man
well said blessings 2 u
the college dropout will always be a classic i love that album

Damnnn, word up to Marvin Gaye. And the 3/4 beat tho. Not many rappers could kill this, but of course it's back when Kanye was hungry...

good shit fellas
Working at the Gap... now the Gap need our boy
Eyes watering. The emotion of the song with the imagery. Perfectly mated. The image of him walking out of the mall with a hard bop in a space suit to the Space Shuttle is massive.
The kid that did that, deserves that Maybach!
Otis video lol ✔️
I always thought that was Kanye on that third verse!! Fucked my head up & i never knew there was visual for my favorite song ever!!
If Kanye never moved on from this sound nobody would wish for the old Kanye cause nobody would listen to Kanye anymore.
That's bullshit. Kanye has gone through a lot of evolution as an artist, but I never get tired of this sound.
Jordan Fitzgerald But you would be if he hadn't evolved.
***** It's easy to deal entirely in "what-ifs." I still listen to College Dropout and Late Registration more than any other Kanye albums. I think I'll be the own judge of what I would and wouldn't listen to under any given circumstances.
That's true, people would be thinking that he's a one-trick pony if all 6 of his albums sounded like this
You act as if every single song on College Dropout sounded exactly the same...that's not even close to being the case.
Ignoring my boss phone calls and bumping this, can't wait for my TH-cam channel to take off so I won't have to deal with this shit anymore
hows that going for ya
i use to sit back and listen to this song over and over all day. This song use to make me cry sound like everyday life struggles.
“Where I wanna go, where I wanna be, Life is much more than running in the streets.”
I was 23-24 pot head, working at Camelot Music, I heard that line. I didn’t put the weed down completely. Long story short, I’m a Surgical Tech now. I still hit the blunt from time to time. LOL
These lyrics to the song hit a little harder as we grow up going through life.
Good for you breh!!!
Dont worry guys this is the REAL OFFICIAL video…
Blue Shirt it is the real video.
This is the first time I'm seeing this video, and only because of the documentary, I knew he made one. 18 years late, thank you for the upload.
Kanye finally put this on his website
I think its the exact same video too. they got the same quality
This age well
Ye’s come full circle, from working at the gap to working with the gap
Now GAP works for him and his collection will be sold there...
His best album hands down..... I love every song, every skit...

WTF i've followed Kanye since his first video, never knew there was a video of this song.
Crazy how Ye went from gap worker to multi-billionaire to having a gap deal and then finally ditching gap on live TV for stealing his designs.
FROM GAP WORKER TO MAKING GAP STOCK DROP 10% ON LIVE TV.
