I took a Com Truise Master Class and Created This...

I decided to take the Soundfly premium course titled "COM TRUISE: MID-FI SYNTHWAVE SLOW-MOTION FUNK" and create a song using some of the tips and tricks I learned. I would recommend the course if you are a big #comtruise fan boy like myself.
The song is called "Three Rights Make a Left". I am using VSTs for the synths and made this before I got my OB6.
I tried to make the song as authentic as possible. I am using real 80's drum machine samples, and specific VSTs that Com Truise uses, even specific settings he uses.

that is a very good song imho, I would probably make the lead melody sound a bit more natural and less quantised but apart from that I found it very pleasing to listen to, well done.

Thanks! Yes, his drums in particular. He shared a little about how he creates his drum buss but I didn't have the funds to get some of the plugins and I felt like he kept some production secrets to himself.

He did a writing lab that I got to be part of and he goes into a lot more detail!j he uses a lot of analog modeling vests: harmonics by softube, a lot of universal audio stuff. Really interesting to learn directly from him

That is a background song I created specifically for the video( to avoid copy-write issues). It uses samples from the Com Truise Nvision sample pack (splice.com/sounds/packs/splice/com-truise-pack/samples). Glad you dug it!
