Looks like a fun trip man. I am looking into a Rebel for myself, coming from an MT09 I like how the rebel feels light for a cruiser. It doesn't have the power my MT09 has, but has plenty of power. I test rode two rebel's on the past month, with both of them I had an issue where multiple times I kept finding neutral instead of second gear. Is that a common issue with the rebel or maybe I just need to adjust the lever for myself if I get one? Also, the throttle at slow speeds is very twitchy, do you have a power commander on yours? Do you have any idea how much that helps with the twitchy throttle? The throtle issue is my major turn off on getting this bike, the power on my MT09 is so linear, it is just too good.
@@newbierides so my rebel is easy to find neutral. Way easier than other bikes I’ve tried. I will say the throttle is twitchy and I’ve had that issues. Mine doesn’t have the power commander but it does help. I’ve tried out one with it and it was nice. Hope this helps
@@therideofalifetime Thanks for the reply and information man. The twitchy throttle was one of the main reasons I sold my MT07. I prefer a more linear power delivery and less engine braking, the MTO9 power delivery and engine braking is perfect. So I am really undecided if I want to buy this bike. I will post a video of the test ride I did with a 2024 rebel, almost every single time I tried to switch to second gear it kept going to neutral. Sometimes even while in neutral I could not for the life of me find second gear.
Does it still leaks? I have a sportster 1200 ( previously had a honda vt750 c2 spirit)...and already had a small oring leak...and was considering switching to the rebel.

@@newbierides I have gotten used to the throttle and I don’t notice it as much.

@ dang dude I have that problem with neutral for a Harley I can’t find that thing to save my life lol

The newer ones don't seem to have it as much but mine is getting a small leak that I will be taking care of very soon. Video coming out in the future
Your bike...with the burly fairing...hand guards and bags setup...is really realy cool.
