Merry Christmas my man. This was an unexpected and wild Christmas special for the year. I'm glad I'm not the only one who misses classic Thomas merchandise, and that pamphlet you showed was unexpected and really cool. You've made me want to add this one to my collection if it has that pamphlet. If you want to get another HiT Favorites DVD, I'd recommend getting the Awesome Adventures: Thrills and Chills. That one has Halloween from Season 8, and Haunted Henry and Duncan Gets Spooked from Season 5, it's the only HiT Favorites release to have classic episodes on it.
I actually like Snow Days (2008) DVD. I like the episodes from each show on this release. Barney: A Visit to Santa (8/10) A Good way to start the release and it has the North Pole set that’s awesome to visit to see Santa. Bob the Builder: Mr. Bentley’s Winter Fair (9/10) Awesome winter episode for Bob the Builder. Angelina Ballerina: No Match for Angelina (7/10) it’s okay. It’s fine Fireman Sam: The Big Freeze (9/10) Nice episode, I like the part where one of the icicles fell down on the hose and the water stopped. Thomas & Friends: Thomas’ Tricky Tree (4/10) what can I say? I mean it’s okay, it’s just I wish Thomas isn’t a mean spirited Engine to the Narrow Gauge Engines, and I wished that Thomas needed help from Sir Handel, which he did after he made a mistake of thinking that the pipes was Sir Topham Hatt’s Tree. Pingu: Pingu at Sledge Academy (10/10) It’s fun to see Pingu and his other Penguin friends go on sleds. The crash in the episode is awesome. It’s a fun episode to end the release.
Wow this does take me back. Some of these shows i haven't thought about or seen in years. I actually do recommend getting the other hit favorite releases that has Thomas episodes on them, as I do think they're very interesting pieces of Thomas media
This is a first covering a hit favorites dvd. I know this dvd was in a double pack with another hit favorites dvd I don’t remember the name of it but I know the Thomas episode in it was Percy’s new whistle. Was this the cut Thursday video that was replaced with the Santa clause HMR?
I think I’ve put two and two together this Thursdays video on the 28th will be the video. If not then it’s lost media like your unboxing of Thomas comes to breakfast 1998 vhs when you said…
I always watched this release along with "Holiday Express" every year to kick off Thomas Christmas DVDs. Now, since I bought "Winter Wonderland" ("Keeping Up With James") and "Frosty Friends" ("Percy's New Whistle") earlier this year, I will watch all three HiT Favorites winter-themed DVDs along with "Holiday Express"
This was so unexpected. Thought it would be a small vid. If I ever watch any hit favorites releases. I might just watch the Thomas episodes. Cuz i don't want to watch barney and stuff like that. Well idk. Just definitely not barney or pingu idk about fireman Sam or Bob the builder. But I definitely watch the Thomas episode on those releases
Merry Christmas! This is something I didn't expect, although I thought it was quite a nice video. I'm surprised you didn't like Pingu that much, I thought you'd find it a lot funnier. I do think it would be quite nice if you threw a couple more of these in when you bring the HMR series back next year. Most of them have episodes of Kipper, along with BTB and Fireman Sam, so I think you'll enjoy some of the other releases more than this one.
Nice review, 'Fire Man Sam' is a Welsh classic from the reviews I've seen (the current CGI stuff apparently unwatchable). I think it started a little bit before S1 of Thomas. But ya Barney has no value for anyone, one can only imagine what Mattel plan to do with this CGI reboot. Also no, there is no large scale Duke model, the only "large scale model of Duke" is the one made to interact with the human figures for close up shots. Pingu is a classic, you're meant to just watch not really listen to what's being said. Nice review though, but ya any release that opens with Barney of all things is not worth it.
Everything, no matter how devoid of entertainment value, can and will form a fanbase. Most of those people are blinded by nostalgia, I refuse to believe anyone over the age of 5 finds anything appealing about Barney.
@@LegoLover117 You are right about Barney fans being blinded by nostalgia (at least I am lol). The message about love (the platonic kind) and stuff makes it a bit of a comfort show for me tbh (along with most other HiT shows).
@@LegoLover117 I mean most of the fanbase only exists because of the first 3 or 6 seasons and early home videos, no one really cares about the hit era
This is a great episode of hmr, legolover I also hate barney too because it treats its own audience like their stupid Its so one dimensional and so bland and boring As for pingu huge fan great characters, fantastic stop motion, and a certain charm that makes it unique

It is now canon that LegoLover has a piece of Barney content in his collection
Merry Christmas!!! 🎄🎁 ☃️
Merry Christmas! Also, first hit favorites dvd of this season. Hooray!
I’m still waiting to hear what Mattel has in store for their upcoming movie release slate, this would include Thomas and Barney respectively.

Do you actually like Barney?
I will say this, even if you don't like Barney, I HIGHLY recommend watching the 2 part documentary, "I Love You, You Hate Me".

Also I am a both of Barney and Thomas fan
Also I like Barney bob west episodes & ones with Selena Gomez
This is really funny as heck
Wasn't expecting you to cover the HiT compilation DVDs.
Also Barney has no value for adults? You obviously never heard of the Barney fanbase.

The only reason you did this was because it had a Thomas episode that was exclusive.
No, I did it because I found this release for cheap at a flea market but love your assumptions.
@@LegoLover117 Just to be clear, I'm not trying to be rude to you. I love you Thomas HMRs!
