I have no idea what i did wrong i spent hours loosening and tightening and re adjusting mine..but my right tip stick way out past the bumper and the left tip sits slightly under the bumper i cant figure it out...can anyone help me?
If you still need some help with this, please email us at sales@factionfab.com and we can walk through some diagnosis. Seeing some photos of the inside of the tips and the pipes will be helpful so we can make sure everything is up to spec.
Just put mine on. Can’t seem to get it to sit right. Hope I can’t figure out how to adjust it correctly. I tightened the flange first. So maybe that is what I did wrong
The best piece of knowledge I can give is to have a friend help you with install. When you’re working on it, have them hold the tips in the proper position while tightening down all the hardware. If it sags on one side, loosen it and move the tips in the opposite direction a little, then tighten everything again and it should settle in the right place. And keep in mind that the stock hangers can rotate quite a bit, so you will want to play with those and try to keep them equal on both sides as well.
It might look to be slightly off center simply due to the camera and lighting angle, but one of the benefits of our part is that it does have a decent amount of adjustment in the fitment so that you can compensate for the small differences between cars and also choose how far out the tip is exposed.
Highly recommend it. Still loving the sound on our STI, there's lots of good sound clips on our FactionFab Coilover Install and Final Build Impressions video!
@@mattsmith9262 To my knowledge, the base imprezas use a different exhaust setup that is not compatible, the flange sizes and locations will not mate to the turbo platform exhaust.
Not in most cases. The exhaust can be loud, but usually doesn't suffer from the true resonance / drone that some people experience with a loud single exit. If you have a stock or catted downpipe, no drone at all. A catless downpipe, headers, etc will be more likely to cause some drone.
There are a few write-ups on old forums detailing the process to install a quad tip on an older chassis. You would definitely need to find a stock quad tip mid pipe for these to bolt up, then the process would involve cutting the bumper. Not something we typically recommend, however where there is a will, there is a way!
We unfortunately can not confirm fitment with any non-OEM mid pipe. I am fairly confident that Invidia uses different mounting locations and this would not fit.
Yes, this will only fit a stock (or stock fitment) mid pipe. This does not include the SPT cat back, as this uses a different mid pipe from the OEM base mid pipe.
We're not familiar with the specifics of the California law, however we do have a post on our instagram (Dated 4/16) with a chart that has dB readings on this specific exhaust compared to stock!

Why is the left exhaust more down? And why do both of the tip look like it is facing down from the side view?

Just found these exhausts recently, might need to scoop one

I want to buy one, before I used N1 exhaust,is too loud for me ,how is it?is nice to the neighbor?😂
It's a good balance in our opinion. We've been daily driving this exhaust since the video released and not one neighbor complaint!
Do you make one that will fit the 2011 wrx sedan?
Yes we do! FFA1.10111.1 is the part number for the stainless steel tips and FFA1.10111.2 for the titanium tips option for the 11-14 WRX and STi Sedan
FactionFab ok thanks looks like I did order the right one can’t wait to get it installed
@@factionfab5834 the real question is will it fit a non turbo regular 08-11 impreza hatchback?

@@factionfab5834 oh man that's terrible I was gonna buy this and bolt it up to my base model lol
What size is the pipe 3” ?
Is there any drone?

Is there a way to make this fit an 09 wrx hatch?

Will This fit with the Invidia q300 mid pipe?
We unfortunately can not confirm fitment with any non-OEM mid pipe. I am fairly confident that Invidia uses different mounting locations and this would not fit.
Is this designed to go with a stock mid pipe?
Yes, this will only fit a stock (or stock fitment) mid pipe. This does not include the SPT cat back, as this uses a different mid pipe from the OEM base mid pipe.
Will this pass California's 95 dB law?

I need this. Have a completely stock 2008 sti hatch.
This is a perfect first mod. Easy install, big improvement.
Was the STI used completely stock?
The exhaust system was stock. A few other mods, but the sound sample should be true to a 100% stock STI or WRX.
