I been into Death Metal since the dawn of time, i usualy dont like new bands, but... Crypta is the real deal, so new fresh and old school at the same time. Thier debut is one of the best debut albums ever.
I believe Crypta are a band that the sky’s the limit. I believe they have the ability and talent to some day become headliners. I don’t say that as an intent or a pressure on the band but I think they can navigate their own destiny.
Awesome interview!! Fernanda is beautiful inside and out! And its okay to be a fan of other music genres, so whoever hates on her for enjoying Beyonce or Pop music can go “you know where” 😂 It’s okay to be sober. Being Metal is all about being YOURSELF. So forget all those ignorant “fans” trying to categorize and judge other Metalheads.
It's funny you say that because there is a weird stigma in metal that liking any other form of music is selling out. And there are metal musicians who gets stigmatised from the beginning because they have played in non-metal projects in the past, despite the fact that they are making amazing metal now. There's an immediate scepticism about them. But when you actually go and listen to interviews with metal musicians, or you see them in their side projects, you suddenly discover that your childhood thrash metal god was also hugely into rap or jazz or synth pop or whatever. And that's awesome. That's the healthiest way to be in terms of not only loving art but being an artist. And it's interesting that in western metal music, you often only hear about these other interests later on in a career when they've established themselves. But often their interests have always been there, and it's been influencing their metal music all this time. So at the time, fans saw that as innovation and uniqueness. But as soon as fans realise it's because the player was hugely into samba or whatever, they view it as "selling out". But I've noticed that not all cultures are the same in their attitudes towards learning music. In the typical western metal musician story, they start out as kids with their favourite metal band, and they copy the songs and they learn to play by emulating their favourite musicians. And so they come to more diverse musical interests later in life, at least in terms of playing. But I've noticed in some cultures, the story can be a little different. They learn to play in formal music tuition and education, maybe due to school clubs or parental pressure. They therefore learn a broad array of genres, styles and techniques, and they begin from a formal foundation of theory. They gravitate towards metal and start playing that, and all of that diverse education and training creates a unique perspective and sound. I feel like that short-sighted stigma is fading away though as metal is becoming more diverse in its influences and expression. Now metal musicians don't have to apologise because they have a broader and healthier understanding and passion for music.
What i find fascinating is that Crypta was formed in 2019 and first album dropped in 2020, its so rare that metal bands get success that quick and Fernanda definitely worked so hard to get that running. I wish her such the best, her future success and i wish for her to have a great fanbase.
@@WretchedDrummer Lovebites is amazing, power metal they mixed with prog and thrash Gacharic Spin for a more experimental mix with many genres, if you like bass you gonna love this one NEMOPHILA is also pretty good iwould called it new metal TRiDENT is more on the punk side if you are into that you will probably like them Unlucky morpheus is one of my favorites, they have 2 girl members, the vocalist and a violinist
Punk rock has long had a thing called "straight-edge" where people don't drink or do drugs or have casual sex. I've always been that, so I'm always happy to see people like that in metal. Metal needs more of that. I'm not vegan, but if someone else is, so what? Why would that make anyone mad? Fernanda's a good person, she's cool by me.
The members of Carcass have at various times been vegetarian and vegan, And that has been an influence there lyrics. Their early lyrics about revolting bodily functions, meat and factory farming etc. were apparently influenced by their beliefs. And it's kind of ironic that through that they spawned a whole genre of gory extreme metal, like gorgrind that saw the aesthetics but kind of missed the point that was under the surface. But at the same time, Carcass have never put that up front.
Crypta are good at what they do and yet here you are, complaining. You just proved yourself wrong. Your brain is so smooth, no ridges or lumps or valleys or bumps.
Fernanda, you are so lovely!! I saw Crypta last year and met you briefly - you were so sweet. Crypta absolutely rips. Don’t ever change ❤️🔥

Women complaining about how difficult is being a woman gets boring. If you're good at what you do no one is gonna complain

Manlet detected.
Instagram band. Lame
You are lame. This band brings the heat. Give them a chance.
