Brought tears to my eyes watching this as my Grandmother was born in Iosepa. When she was 12 years old, her parents brought her and her siblings to Laie, Oahu, Hawaii, for the building of the Laie Hawaii Temple. Thank you for sharing this documentary about Iosepa!
Palaoa poi was commonly made in the drier areas of most islands - sometimes as a supplement the ulu or kalo. If you're a little homesick it probably hits the spot!
